This is my 4th pregnancy and I’m looking for a midwife that could support me during a VBAC. My first two babies were born vaginally, with my 3rd baby born prematurely at 29w6d via emergency C-section. My goal is to do a natural VBAC and I would love to have additional support for laboring naturally and having holistic pain management techniques within a hospital setting. Would you travel to Sumner/Waterloo area or is that too far for your service? Thank you!

I am planning to give birth at either citizens hospital in Victoria or Detar in Victoria, I am leaning towards citizens hospital. It is my 2nd pregnancy, my first was an emergency C section and I am trying for a VBAC this time! My provider is supportive, I just need to go into labor myself before 41 weeks & some change. I went very late for my first birth (41 and 3, and I took castor oil to effective induce myself) so there is some concern I won’t go into labor myself. I have never had a doula before so I don’t know what the price range would be! My birth plan is a rough sketch right now but: I want it to be as natural as possible. No epidural, no fundal massage, and very delayed cord clamping.

I plan on giving birth in a hospital. I have an OBGYN but im looking into a doula as well. I want to do my deliver unmedicated as much as possible.

I will deliver in a hospital. I have delivered 5 babies vaginally with an induction and epidural. I have not gone into labor naturally. I am concerned that another epidural would present health risks (experiencing possible nerve damage currently). I need someone that can coach me in labor and motivate me prior to labor. I have issues dialating but when dialated labor goes very, very quickly. I am unsure of the average costs of a doula, so do not have a budget yet. We have excellent conventional insurance, but will be paying all the hospital pricing, so we cannot spend a ton extra on top of that.
