G6B3 Pregnant with twins and desire another home birth. It's my understanding that only a CNM can legally oversee my birth at home. I had my 3rd in my birth pool at home technically unassisted but the midwife arrived 15 minutes later. It was the best experience and I don't want to go back to hospital birth unless it's an emergency. I like a mostly hands-off, low intervention approach. I trust my instincts and body to do what's needed.

I am looking for a midwife for my first pregnancy. I do not have a OBGYN and I do not think I want one. I like the more natural approaches to pregnancy/birth. I am considering a birth at home but it does kinda scare me if something goes wrong since this is my first.

I am considering birthing at home or at a birthing center, depending on if I meet a midwife that I feel I want to journey with intimately. If not, I'll choose the birthing center. However, I am seeking a birth and postpartum doula that can support nourishment, ceremony, wellness, and practical support.

While I do not have a finalized birth plan at this time, I am seeking a certified midwife with at least five years of experience. I have Kaiser. I’m looking at giving birth at Rose Hospital. My budget is based off what my insurance covers. I have heard Kaiser will cover doulas. My birth plan is kinda fluid right now. I’m hoping to have a VBAC. I would like it to be unmedicated and if I can to labor in a tub. I want skin to skin immediately, delayed cord clamping and to not be forced unless my body is fully ready. I refuse to do things on a physicians timeline. I’d prefer the doula to be certified, have an NPI and to have as much experience as I can hope for. This is my 2nd baby so I’d need help making sure this goes as smooth as possible. I would love help around the house post partum but I’m not sure what insurance covers.
