I plan to give birth at UNC Rex holly springs, birth plan im not sure yet but I did the epidural with my first and had a rough birth.

I would like a doula as a first time mom. I’m higher risk and my only option for pain management is an epidural. I would like to try giving birth naturally as the epidural and the side effects scares me more than anything. I feel a doula may be very beneficial for me.

I am very newly pregnant for the first time and doing research to understand what my options are for birth and postpartum support.

This is my first baby! We are a military family, so all of our immediate family actually lives in CA. They will be coming out for the birth, but I would love to have someone in my corner helping me through things. We also have quite a lot of providers in our office and I feel like I don’t know any of them. I am worried it feels impersonal. I have epilepsy and a positive encouraging mind set is super important for me. I really want someone to advocate for my needs and desires for our birth plan. Additionally, since it’s our first baby, any advice is so welcome. My husband will be going back to work quite quickly after birth so just looking for some guidance. Planning to give birth at Smithfield Hospital UNC. Planned Vaginal Birth with Epidural. TBD on days/hours. The help would be mostly for me but also helping guide my husband through it. I would love for faith to be a large part of labor encouragement. My husband and I are both Christian and would love to labor leaning on God, prayer, worship. Budget TBD, also open to seeing what insurance covers?

We are first-time parents looking for an experienced postpartum doula or newborn care specialist to support us during the first few weeks after delivery. We are both working from home, and our mothers will take turns helping during the daytime, so our main need is overnight newborn care and postpartum support. We would like someone experienced with newborn feeding, soothing, diapering, safe sleep, and helping establish a manageable nighttime routine. Breastfeeding support or experience working alongside an IBCLC would be a plus. We prefer someone with several years of newborn experience, infant CPR certification, and strong references. We are currently exploring part-time overnight care, approximately 3-4 nights per week during the first 4–8 weeks postpartum. Budget is flexible depending on experience and schedule. Our goal is to get enough rest while still being actively involved in feeding and bonding with the baby.

Looking to spend $800 or less(I have insurance if it would help cover some cost). I plan to give birth at Wakemed in Cary. I want to go as natural as possible and am hopeful to have only women in the room.

I’m looking for a doula who can help me stay calm and focused during labor, suggest different positions and movement, provide counter-pressure/massage and other comfort measures, help with breathing and relaxation techniques, and support my husband in knowing how to help me. I would also appreciate someone who can help me understand my options if decisions or interventions come up and remind me of my preferences when I’m in the middle of labor. My goal is a calm, low-intervention birth while still being flexible if something is medically necessary for me or baby. I’m unsure of my budget because this is my first time looking into doula services, so I’m still learning what typical pricing looks like
