I am planning to give birth at Frederick Health Hospital (Frederick General Hospital) in Frederick, Maryland. My estimated due date is May 15, 2026. This will be my second baby, and I am hoping for a supportive birth environment with a doula who is familiar with hospital births. am looking to work with a doula who accepts Blue Cross Blue Shield insurance or whose services may be covered or partially reimbursed through this insurance. I am also interested in postpartum support for approximately two weeks after delivery, so I am open to discussing the budget depending on insurance coverage and the services included My goal is to have a natural, unmedicated birth if possible. I would appreciate a doula who can provide calm emotional support, help with breathing techniques and labor positions, and support my preferences for a low-intervention birth whenever it is safe for both baby and me. Since this is my second baby, I am hoping for a smooth experience with guidance during labor and reassurance throughout the process.

John Hopkins Hospital Price: $1,800-2,000 My goal is to have an Unmedicated birth. This will be baby #2 for us. I had a pretty bad experience with my first where my wishes and concerns were completely ignored. I really wish I had someone there to advocate for me when I couldn’t think clearly, my nurse was very evil person and caused a lot of pain and negativity while I was in labor. I get back labor, and the pain is so unbearable I’d really need someone to help me cope and push through! I’d also love a doula who is very informative on certain things hospitals tend to force mothers into. Would love if my doula were seasoned with At least 4 years of experience. I had a very hard time with postpartum recovery which I believe hindered me from being able to breastfeed since I was under so much stress. I would really love to breastfeed this time around.

I am inquiring on behalf of my son and daughter-in-law who just had their second baby. Baby is not latching on… Milk is not coming in. I need some hands on help with breastfeeding a sleepy, fussy, slow eater baby. We have been breastfeeding, but she makes hungry cues even after long breastfeeding sessions. I try to keep her awake by being out of the swaddle and engaging her with touch, but she still falls asleep. We have supplemented with formula to satisfy her hunger after a breastfeeding session.

Issues with latch, weight gain, milk transfer. Baby had posterior tongue tie release done on 11/21. Still struggle with breastfeeding everyday.

My wife is having some difficulty with one of her breasts. The nipple on her right side was bruised due to a bad latch (or more than one) and now we over rely on the left breast. Hi, Since my baby was born I’m having problems with latching. Is very painful. I tried different positions and strategies and is still very painful. Sometimes even after pump my nipple is sore. In a couple times it haven’t hurt but most of time it hurts.

We’re moving midway through the pregnancy to the DC region, Maryland side. We’ll probably live in the Rockville area but I’m hoping to give birth with the midwives at George Washington University’s hospital. I’m looking for a labor doula to support an unmediated birth.
