Two week old who seems to be eating plenty, but her feeds are fast (6-11 minutes). She usually only has one breast per feed and will fall asleep right after. I worry that she is not emptying the milk. I’ve been using a Hakka on the opposite breast and now I worry that it’s caused an over supply. So Sunday 9/20 I got the chills and felt engorged. But no fever. She has her second pediatrician appointment this Wednesday. Seeking a home visit this week and advice on avoiding mastitis while ensuring supply and healthy baby feeds. Additionally looking for a consultant that accepts Care First insurance.

Hello! I am looking for an experienced birth doula, ideally with postpartum and/or lactation expertise, who can provide in-person support for an upcoming mama of 3 due in February 2027! My Christian faith is very important to me and my family so I'd like to work with someone who has a relationship with Jesus Christ and is comfortable with how I want to integrate my faith into my birthing experience. I am planning for a hospital birth in Columbia, Maryland but aim to have an unmedicated experience, if possible. Hi. I am looking for help with breastfeeding and pumping for my newborn son. He nurses frequently and has plenty of wet diapers, but my pumping output varies. Sometimes I get a few ounces and other times only drops, which makes me worry about my supply. I would like help checking his latch and making sure he is getting enough milk. I also need help with flange sizing, pump settings, and a pumping routine that works with my school schedule. I gave birth to my beautiful first child, Margeaux, four days ago. We worked with a lactation specialist in the hospital and she seemed to be doing well and making wet and soiled diapers for two days before discharge. Since then, she has only produced 1 wet diaper a day and her feedings have become very painful for me, especially when constantly pursued over night. I am unable to sleep and my child refuses to sleep anywhere but on me and when she is awake she only wants my nipple. I worry my body is not producing enough colostrum. She is losing weight but the pediatritian told me to not supplement with formula and to always allow my child access to my nipples. Feeling very defeated and could use help. I have BluCross Blue Shield, but willling to pay out of pocket. In person visit or virtual visit is preferred. Please help. Alex

6 days old with a shallow latch and painful feeds for the most part. Seen by pediatrician and thought to have a tongue tie. Just really trying to get a good deep latch to prevent painful feeds.

I’m really nervous about labor and delivery. I want an epidural and am good with medical intervention. I’m nervous that my husband won’t be calm during the birthing process. I need someone who can help me be calm through it and help coach my husband through it. I also am nervous about being very vulnerable during birth and consent is very important for me and want to make sure I feel comfortable and not taken advantage of. Giving birth at Sibley I’m also very nervous about postpartum. This is my first pregnancy

We live in Hanover, plan to birth in Carlisle. Looking for a home birth experience in a hospital setting. Unmedicated if possible, with minimal intervention. History of infertility and loss. Strong personality and need someone who can work with that. Looking for prenatal, birth and postpartum support. Experience with breastfeeding, baby wearing and cloth diapers is a plus. Definitely want someone with experience in movement techniques to optimize baby's positioning. My insurance covers 1200 per year and we can go a bit above that. Bonus points if we can split billing or do a visit in the new year to use both years benefits. Insurance requires a tax ID number and an invoice.

Hello, I am interested in receiving support for my daughter’s latch. She is my second breastfed baby; she has a tongue tie we have been able to get her latch to where she is no longer causing me pain. However she is sucking in a lot of air while she nurses and it is causing her discomfort later with gas and burps I can’t get out of her.

I tried to breastfeed my last child but she absolutely wouldn’t latch. I think I have flat nipples so she wouldn’t latch without a nipple shield that was too painful to use. I tried to pump but never had any milk output, I don’t even think I had colostrum. I don’t know if I was just doing it wrong or if I just didn’t have any milk. Because I don’t know what I was doing wrong, I don’t know how to do it right this time round. I think I need a prenatal appnt to figure out how to size everything right, methods, nipple healing when it hurts too much, tools and products to use. I don’t even know how much milk I should be able to get out in the first weeks or how to store and make use of pumped milk because I never got the chance to learn it. I’d like someone experienced and gentle. I don’t do well with blunt, tough love, especially postpartum. Lower budget would be nice but I don’t have much idea of what a consultant costs
