Hello, This is my first pregnancy, for both of us. I would consider myself to be relatively low-risk and fit to carry. I am looking for a midwife to oversee my baby and our progress, as well as a Doula for birth and some pregnancy guidance. I have a history of anxiety and depression as it relates to PTSD, so I like to talk things out as they progress. I am interested in a natural birth, perhaps in water, or an at home situation. We have a budget of what insurance can cover and about 150 a month more. I want my partner there for the birth, in a very chill, spiritually ambient environment. Thank you!

second baby , first one was in the hospital and i did have hypertension with him. did not like my hospital experience or the nurses i had. wondering if a home / water birth is even safe for me this pregnancy with my history of blood pressure issues. i’m currently 22 weeks with a baby girl and want to go all natural. no pitocin , no epidural. only want to go to the hospital for baby girl to get a vitamin k shot , otherwise i’d love to stay out of hospitals this time around. hoping for someone who takes pennsylvania state insurance as im located in hanover pa and we dont make alot of money combined with all the bills we have.

I plan on giving birth in a hospital. My budget is around $1500. My ideal birth plan, I want my husband in the room. I want to be able to walk around or be on a birthing ball. I want to try to have a natural birth but if I get to be in too much pain I want an epidural. This will be my second birth. I’m not opposed to an epidural. I want to try to have a natural birth but it any complications come up and a c-section is necessary I’m also not opposed, whatever is safe for me and baby. I want to have help with breathing techniques and coaching when it’s time to push. I don’t want forceps used, if help for baby is needed than I’m not opposed to the vacuum as a last option (avoid if possible). Delayed cord clamping for 2 mins. Skin to skin with mom and dad. I want to avoid a hospital birth but if it’s necessary I’m willing to listen to the advice of a midwife but if I am uncomfortable with something I will say so. I prefer someone who has attended and assisted many births, at least 200. I’d like to find a birth center or in home midwife that can be covered or partially covered by Medicaid and I have anthem health keepers plus. If out of pocket, I’d like to stay close to $4,000 for prenatal care and birth. I’d like a person who is knowledgeable in breastfeeding and who can assist immediately after birth or direct me to someone who can.
