First baby. Wanting to have a hospital-based, unmedicated birth. Hospital will be located on a military base (Walter Reed National Military Medical Center).
This is my third pregnancy and looking for more personal and hands on care.
Planning on doing a home birth and looking for a midwife.
First Baby, hoping to deliver naturally or vaginal birth in northern virginia. Might be willing to get an epidural. Need good guidance and support.
Seeking a doula to help prepare better for my third baby due in February. I’ve had two vaginal hospital deliveries but was induced with my first and I ended up with an epidural with my second because I wasn’t prepared for a long labor and ended up with bad baby positioning and pelvic girdle pain.
Second child, 9 years apart. Id prefer an unmedicated delivery, i will be using DC medicaid im currently 20 weeks.

I've had three babies at home two were in water all three were with a team from Riverside midwifery which is no longer in business. I plan on giving birth in a hospital. My budget is around $1500. My ideal birth plan, I want my husband in the room. I want to be able to walk around or be on a birthing ball. I want to try to have a natural birth but if I get to be in too much pain I want an epidural. This will be my second birth. I’m not opposed to an epidural. I want to try to have a natural birth but it any complications come up and a c-section is necessary I’m also not opposed, whatever is safe for me and baby. I want to have help with breathing techniques and coaching when it’s time to push. I don’t want forceps used, if help for baby is needed than I’m not opposed to the vacuum as a last option (avoid if possible). Delayed cord clamping for 2 mins. Skin to skin with mom and dad. I want to breast feed.
home, insurance covered& as natural as possible hopefully
4weeks along with 2vaginal delivered pregnancies in the past. Two boys 13 and 8 now.
I am 23 yrs old, currently 29 weeks and 2 days along, and this is my first pregnancy. I am going to be birthing at the VHC hospital. I have ICP and so the plan for me is to have an induced vaginal birth at 37 weeks. The exact date has not yet been set, however it will be sometime between 37 weeks and 0 days to 37 weeks and 3 days (Dec 9-12). I would like a midwife to help guide me through birthing and leading up to it, and assist me in prepping for delivery.
I plan to give birth at home. I have not made a birth plan yet. I will be using my insurance through Tricare.
Home birth Birth is covered 100% under my insurance after my $250 deductible is met looking for someone to bill insurance. Aetna ( meridian health)
Where do you plan to give birth (home/hospital)? I plan to give birth in a hospital setting at Pascal Women’s Center at UM Baltimore Washington Medical Center in Glen Burnie, Maryland. (UMMS) Estimated budget: My budget will depend on what services are covered by my insurance, if anything. I am looking for postpartum support options that fit within my available coverage or payment options. Describe your birth plan: I am still developing my full birth plan, but my main preferences are: * I would like to avoid giving birth flat on my back and would prefer alternative laboring positions when medically appropriate. * I would like my doula and delivery nurse to be my primary support people in the delivery room. * I would like delayed cord clamping. * I would like immediate skin-to-skin contact with my baby after birth. * I would prefer no bath for my baby immediately after delivery and would like to wait until I am ready. * I would like medical interventions delayed unless they are medically necessary. I would like procedures explained to me and want to provide consent before interventions whenever possible. Requirements for the provider (certification, years of experience, second language): I am looking for someone experienced in postpartum support and newborn care, especially overnight newborn care. Certification as a postpartum doula, newborn care specialist, or similar training is preferred. I value someone patient, compassionate, respectful of my parenting choices, and knowledgeable about newborn needs. A second language is not required. Details about care recipients (age, special needs, feeding, etc.): I am expecting my first baby. My care recipient will be my newborn baby. I will need support learning my baby’s routines, feeding, soothing, diapering, and newborn care. I would appreciate someone who can support me as I recover and adjust to motherhood. Additional duties (sleep training, cleaning, cooking, laundry, etc.): My main need is postpartum recovery support, especially nighttime care so I can get adequate rest after birth. I am looking for assistance with: * Overnight newborn care * Feeding support (breastfeeding, pumping, and/or bottle feeding support if needed) * Diaper changes and soothing * Helping establish healthy newborn routines (not formal sleep training right away) * Light household cleaning as needed * Cooking or meal preparation * Light laundry assistance My goal is to have compassionate support during the transition into motherhood while allowing me time to heal, rest, bond with my baby, and gain confidence caring for my newborn.
I would like to give birth in a hospital and unmedicated. I have Tricare Reserve Select as insurance. I want a calm environment. No induction, no cervical exams, and intermittent fetal monitoring
This will be my second home water birth. I plan to have my baby naturally and unmedicated. I like to be very hands on and prefer someone who is okay taking the backseat or driving so to speak, whenever I express so. I want to avoid a hospital birth but if it’s necessary I’m willing to listen to the advice of a midwife but if I am uncomfortable with something I will say so. I prefer someone who has attended and assisted many births, at least 200. I’d like to find a birth center or in home midwife that can be covered or partially covered by Medicaid and I have anthem health keepers plus. If out of pocket, I’d like to stay close to $4,000 for prenatal care and birth. I’d like a person who is knowledgeable in breastfeeding and who can assist immediately after birth or direct me to someone who can.
I am pregnant and looking for a full spe trum provider.
