Looking for midwife and doula to assist in prenatal care and delivery. I originally had a doctor however their facility has been relocated to an area I’m not able to get to.

I plan on giving birth at The Women's Hospital of Texas, my insurance provider is Tricare West, and my birth plan is simple, I do want to be medicated, I am keeping my placenta, and I am doing delayed cord clamping until baby's cord is white and no longer pulsating.

I plan to have an unmedicated birth in the hospital (UTMB Galveston), I want as few interventions as possible. I'd like a doula's help at the birth, with starting to breastfeed, and perhaps a few visits postpartum. My budget is $2,000.

I plan to give birth in the hospital with medication. I am on Medicaid, I don't have a birt plan yet. Im 33, I have 2 daughter's, big ahe gaps, on my last pregnancy after last birth almost 10 yrs ago. I want extra support as my family dynamic has changed. I will need help with sleep traing to flip the babies schedule so I can work. Im new to this so I want help with whatever is covered through my insurance.

I wouldn't mind a hospital birth, but a water birth is my choice. I have insurance with Aetna, so whatever my insurance doesn't cover is my budget...? If you don't work with insurance, ideally I'm not trying to go over 6k. I prefer a holistic and natural approach. I need someone I can contact easily that will respond withing a couple hours and not 24 hours. I prefer a midwife/doula that is a POC, has a background in ancient traditional birthing, and knows herbs better than me. I don't want Westernized typical American care where I'm just another dollar to the facility and not a patient growing a little human. Ideally, my midwife/doula is compassionate, can be funny where space allows, and is very knowledgeable and can handle emergencies if the case cause for it rather than automatically pressing for cesarean.

I am debating between giving birth at home or at a hospital. I hear women of color die more often in Tx hospitals than anywhere else so I’m very hesitant. I don’t want to lie down during labor, I want to squat. I am not sure what my budget is quite yet but I do want someone experienced. This will be my first child, my mother will fly down and stay for two months to help. But once she leaves I may or may not need help with sleep.

I haven’t fully constructed my birth plan, but I know for sure I want my birth and delivery as natural, low maintenance, unmedicated vaginal birth. I don’t want the umbilical cord to be cut right away, no episiotomy, I want to my placenta to come out naturally, I don’t want to push on my back, non-medical coping strategies, using my own linens, delayed cord clamping, skin to skin immediately/uninterrupted golden hour with mom first hour then dad, I and/or my husband will be present at all tests (baby will not be out of our sight), lactation consultant asap, breastfeeding immediately, birthing ball, remaining mobile, intermittent monitoring, saline locked, care clustered and DND sign, labor down, dimmed lighting, my own music, delayed bath, have my placenta come out naturally and encapsulated, do not wipe off vernix, I am having a boy so we want him to be circumcised. I would like a very well educated, knowledgeable, and experienced doula not only with birthing but assisting in birthing/delivery with a black woman. I have tricare west insurance.

someone for support at the hospital, if i were to be in a position where i cannot advocate for myself then the duola can step in, someone to also support the husband in case he has to make difficult decisions on my behalf

Someone to guide us on how to care for our first born, someone to care for the baby overnight so we can sleep, someone that can educate us on best practices to prepare for when I go back to work. No need for household duties to be completed, just focusing on the baby. Budget is about $25-$35/hr depending on experience, 2x's a week (Tuesdays and Fridays)

I'm a first time mom, age 42. I feel that the info my mother share may be outdated and the internet is saturated with contradicting information so I'm overwhelmed. I would prefer to use my insurance if that's possible. I'd like to have a natural birth but I really don't know my options. My husband is more comfortable with spanish so that would good.
