I would prefer a natural birth, somewhere close to a hospital if something goes wrong. But not at home. We use BCBS Highmark and are hoping to just use that or send them itemized receipts.

I am very flexible in my birthing location. I would like to do a birthing center, but a hospital would be okay as well, if needed. I do want to be able to get an epidural if the pain becomes overwhelming. I am not sure on my exact budget, as I am not sure the average prices for a doula or midwife. I would also like someone who can help me develop a birth plan that aligns with my needs!

I plan on giving birth to my first baby at home. My birth plan can be simplified in a few words, natural, dim lighting with my husband catching our son and, supporting, squeezing, and coaching me as I need, and my mom (an RN) supporting me emotionally and physically as she can. As far as interventions for my baby and I, I do NOT want immunizations/shots or eye drops of any kind, no bath, no cord clamping/cutting, no placenta pulling or tugging. Birth plan= the LESS the better.

I would like to give birth in a hospital, we’d like to spend around 2 thousand dollars because I am 20 weeks pregnant and trying to get out of an OB office for more personal care. For the birth of my son I would like a natural labor (vaginal delivery) without an epidural, no medication offered to me without me mentioning it first. No forceps or vacuum, no medical interventions unless necessary for the baby or myself. No episiotomy, I would rather tear naturally. I would like a quiet room with no harsh lights while laboring, and I am open to a water birth. After my son is born my husband and I would like to be made aware of anything doctors or nurses would like to do with our baby before doing it like vaccines, bathing, measurements, and tests.
