Welcome to Grow in Grace Doula Care! I'm thrilled to introduce myself as a wife, new boy mom, and pediatric registered nurse based in Queen Creek, Arizona. With three years of pediatric nursing experience, I have always had a special love for taking care of little ones. My true passion lies in supporting new moms and babies, which is why I fell in love with postpartum doula care after the birth of my son. Having been supported by both labor and postpartum doulas during my birth and recovery, I can honestly say my experience would have been vastly different without their care. I believe birth and postpartum are natural and beautiful events in which every woman should feel empowered and protected. That's why my goal is to provide loving, non-judgmental care to all expecting parents, helping them experience the grace and joy that comes with their new baby! At home, I enjoy a full and joyful life with my husband, son, two dogs, and our rabbit. Outside of my doula work, my perfect day includes reading my Bible while sipping on an iced coffee or matcha, spending time outside in the sun and grass, hanging out with my family, and podcasting!

Karly was such a valuable resource in the postpartum period. I got the opportunity to work with her when my little one was 2 months old and she helped me with feeding concerns, practicing our physical therapy exercises for my little one’s torticolis, and household chores! She was also a great listener and very empathetic when I told her about my complications after birth and how they had affected my mental health. She is such a sweet and knowledgeable person. I would recommend all pregnant mamas, experienced or not, utilizing Karly for postpartum care.

My name is MaKaila and I am 25 years old and I graduated from GCU April 2022 with a major in Exercise Science with an emphasis in sports performance. I am currently back in online school working on my pre-requisites to apply for nursing school next year. I worked part-time as a nanny while in school to a family my first year and a half of babysitting. I started when their daughter was 1.5 years and their son was 1-month-old. I finished when their son was 1.5 year and their daughter was 3. I have been working with the Busy Bee Babysitting company since September 2020. With that company I have worked with children of all ages. From as little as 1-month-old to as old as 11 years old. I have watched as many as 7 children at one time by myself. I just finished working as a night nanny for a precious 10 week old! Currently I help out with a family in the mornings for a few hours with their 3 year old and 1 month old. I assist the mom with morning feedings, diaper changes, getting the toddler off to school and hanging out with baby afterwards. Along with babysitting I also can help with school drop-off/pick-up, homework help, practice drop offs, weekend outings, and things around the house. I hope to be meeting you soon!

I’m here to make you feel empowered, supported, and heard through your journey of birth and postpartum. This is my mission due to my birth and postpartum experiences. I had a traumatic first birth that ended in an emergency c-section. Postpartum Recovery was even more difficult without the support I truly needed. When I was ready to try for a second baby, I miscarried. It took a lot out of me, to get the answers I needed to explain why I miscarried and to find a provider who was going to be safe for me. I knew I wanted a doula and the right birth team that would support me through a VBAC. My team heard me and created space for me to achieve a dream birth!

As a mom myself, I understand how imperative it is to have emotional support throughout the journey of motherhood, from adoption or pregnancy, postpartum and beyond. I remember the early days of bonding with my children, while also feeling overwhelmed with loneliness and guilt about making the right decisions as a parent. With appropriate support, I was able to create a space to be present with my children, while also taking care of myself to find peace, clarity and purpose. Regardless of the age of our children, we never stop being a mother. My personal journey and professional education have led me to my work with mothers and their families. I am passionate about helping mothers to reach their full potential and learn to trust their own voice and decisions. I am also an active member of Postpartum Support International and have received a certificate in Maternal Mental Health. My couples therapy training in The Gottman Method is beneficial in helping partners find new ways of connection and intimacy throughout this transition. You don’t have to go through this alone, I am here to help you achieve emotional health and wellness and to lead with confidence in this experience of parenthood.

Hello....My name is Kelly Sunshine and I have been a birth doula for over 12 years supporting more than 1150 births in the Phoenix Metro area. I work with clients delivering in any hospital, birth center or home environment. In the hospital setting I work well with health care providers and feel that I walk that fine line between respecting the hospital staff and their regulations and yet still help my mamas have the birth of their dreams. With a little hard work, patience and showing respect we can achieve the birth you desire....while still in a hospital setting! I have wonderful recommendations for both OB providers, midwifes and natural friendly hospitals in the valley. I also work with many of the local home birth midwifes and know that having a doula even in a home birth setting is so valuable. Please reach out to see if myself or one of the other doulas on our team are a good fit for you!

I would give Kelly all the stars in the world, she took me on as a client 2 weeks before my due date even though she was completely booked up. She made my birth experience for my husband and I such a blessing and I would have NEVER been able to go unmedicated without her. Laboring at home and knowing when to go to the hospital, helping with different laboring positions to her helping me apply counter pressure on my back during contractions and telling me I can do this when I wanted to give up were only a few ways she helped me through my labor. We love you Kelly!! Highly recommend - The Rubinos

I’m a single mother navigating the rewarding and challenging journey of raising an adventurous young boy. My life is a blend of nurturing a curious and growing child while indulging in my passions and interests. For many years, I’ve been deeply immersed in the food industry, managing a beloved family-owned Mexican restaurant that was started by my grandparents in 1964. This restaurant has been a cornerstone of our family and community, and my work there has not only shaped my professional life but also my personal identity. Running the restaurant has been a labor of love, connecting me to my heritage and allowing me to share our family’s culinary traditions with others. Cooking remains a significant part of my life, whether it's preparing meals at home or experimenting with new recipes. I find joy in exploring new culinary experiences and discovering new flavors, both in my own kitchen and through dining out at different restaurants. Traveling to foreign countries is another passion of mine, as it offers a chance to immerse myself in different cultures, gain fresh perspectives, and experience the world from new angles. Nature is my sanctuary, providing a peaceful retreat from the hustle and bustle of daily life. Whether I’m hiking through scenic trails or simply enjoying the outdoors, I cherish the connection with nature and the tranquility it brings. My Philosophy Central to my philosophy is the belief that no woman is ever truly alone in her journey. As a mother and a professional, I embrace the idea that support, solidarity, and shared experiences among women are powerful forces that uplift and strengthen us. Whether through the bonds we forge in our personal lives or the communities we build in our professional endeavors, the connections we make are vital. I am committed to fostering these connections and drawing strength from the collective wisdom and support of the women around me. In addition to my work in the food industry, I am a certified prenatal doula. These roles allow me to provide comprehensive support to families during one of the most transformative times in their lives. My certifications reflect my dedication to helping others navigate their birthing journeys with confidence and care. Balancing motherhood with my professional and personal interests, I strive to create a fulfilling and vibrant life for both myself and my son. My experiences in the food industry, coupled with my passion for travel, nature, and my work as a doula , shape a life filled with creativity, exploration, and deep familial bonds.
