In person or virtual pumping consultation. I'm not getting good output in the last two days since my 4 month old started daycare and I'm back at work. I've only pumped a couple times since she was born before starting work and was using an old Ameda Mya. It worked well once in my first week post partum when I was engorged. When I used it recently it didn't pump much but I wasn't sure if it was old parts an old pump or that I didn't have much supply between breast feeds. I got a new Medela pump in style pro and have tried with 24, 21, and 18 mm flanges. I can get 2 oz ok on my left breast but on my right I only get 1 oz and need to get at least 2. My nipple on that side isn't very pointy - my areola and nipple make a triangle shape. When I pump it hurts my nipple and turns purple but I feel like my areola is pulled in so I don't know if the flange is too big or too small or it's something else. I was able to pump ~4oz pretty consistently with my first born 2 years ago but I think that was mostly when I was in office using a hospital grade pump and I work from home now.

I believe I need someone to look at my 7 week olds latch when breastfeeding. I have been using a nipple shield since she was born since that was what the LC at the hospital suggested for flat nipples. She transfers well and is gaining weight but I still feel some pain when she latches and experience cracked nipples which is even more painful.

1 month old - During breastfeeding, he feeds off for sometime and then suddenly pulls off and starts crying. Sometimes he is able to latch back but most of the times it's difficult to latch him back on. I do burp him in between but that doesn't seem to help. His pediatrician said it can be the muscles in his jaws that aren't working well or a latch issue. This started happening around Sept 8.

I would love a doula to coach my husband to ensure he is part of the process as well. I would love a doula that brings helpful labor tools (TENS unit, birth ball etc).
