Im hoping to get a doula for information about giving birth and to have an advocate during labor. I plan on giving birth at Mercy hospital in Roseburg, OR. Im hoping to have my insurance pay for services. Im insured with Umpqua Health Alliance. I'd like to have an epidural and to be induced a week early at 39 weeks. I'd like to be advocated for because my last epidural failed and I had no pain management. It was traumatic for me. After birth I'd like some tips on parenting two children, A toddler and an infant.

I plan to give birth in a hospital with minimal interventions. No epidural, giving birth in whatever position feels right, and being able to eat and drink water. Budget unsure, but preferably $5000 or less.

Giving birth at IMC in Murray, in June, to a little boy! Willing to be a bit flexible in cost depending on what’s offered. Don’t really know the average. I know some things I want (golden hour, natural as much/long as possible, not to a miserable point though, etc) but also would love to be educated on my options. We are planning on a hospital birth at the University of Utah. If covered by insurance, we will rely on the Regence BCBS budget. We plan for an unmedicated birth but are open to nitrous for pain management and in worst case scenarios will listen to medical advice on induction/pain mgmt/c-section. I'm transgender and prefer LGBTQ+ friendly providers with experience with trans parents. We are covered by regence blue cross blue shield through the university of utah.

My wife and I are expecting our first child in Late September. We have family here in the valley but we've been advised on the benefits of hiring a doula for both the birthing and postpartum phases. My wife has expressed to me the difficulties she's had with managing anxieties about things that can go wrong so any resources we can use to prepare for both pre and post partum depression would be something we're interested in too.
