I am a birth and postpartum doula. I am certified through ExpertRating and getting another certification through Birth Arts International. I've been a birth enthusiast for over 3 years now. I enjoy helping individuals throughout pregnancy, birth, and postpartum. I'm a Texas native and love supporting my community. I have 2 children and a wonderful husband. I've had 2 beautiful home birth stories and love being a part of and hearing women's birth stories.

Extra Birth Support

Prenatal * 2-3 Prenatal visits discussing expectations, birth plan., having a practice run, practicing laboring positions, etc. * Business hours text support throughout the entire pregnancy. * 24 hour text support from 36 weeks until birth. On call from 36 weeks until birth. *50% off Child Birth Education Class Birth * Physical support during active labor or whenever you feel you need it (whichever comes first) * Help laboring at home and identifying when to call the midwife or go to the hospital. * Extra set of productive hands to clean, get snacks, do counter pressure, set up a pool, put a kid to bed, etc. Postpartum * 2-4 hours of immediate postpartum support to make sure you are settled, including immediate lactation support * 1 virtual debrief postpartum visit between 2 weeks -6 weeks. * 1 in person 3-hour postpartum visit between 2 days- 6 weeks to help out with chores, breastfeeding, etc. * 2 months of business hours text support.

What to expect

I provide birth and postpartum doula services. Packages range greatly, however birth work looks like 2-3 prenatal visits, unlimited text support during business hours in pregnancy, unlimited text support from 36w until birth, on call from 36w until birth, and in labor support, 2-4 hours of immediate postpartum support, and 1 debrief postpartum. Postpartum doula work can be paid hourly or you can purchase a package that includes multiple hours, multiple days a week.

Hannah was my original doulas stand in and honestly I can’t speak high enough about her, although I didn’t have the capacity or the know of what I needed in moments she made suggestions, made me feel comfortable and truly made my birth better in so many ways! She’s so sweet, caring and you can absolutely tell she’s made for this! I am beyond happy and grateful to have had her by my side during such a wonderful yet challenging moment of my life. She helped welcome my baby girl into this world and has been so supportive after as well❤️ Thank you Hannah!! You are exceptional at what you do and you have a heart of gold!

I absolutely loved working with Hannah. She is affordable, educated, kind, and supportive. I was unsure of my need for a doula, and was so unbelievably thankful I had her. The midwives/nurses/OBGYN are not with you the whole time like a doula is, and that's what I needed for support in a hard, new, incredibly painful experience that was my first time birth. My husband was quite educated but even so he needed the extra support and knowledge that she provided. My goal was to achieve an unmedicated birth center birth, avoid a c-section hospital birth, and she helped me to achieve this and cope with the pain. Hannah helped the pain to be a lot more manageable with various positions & techniques. When I was 8 cm dilated but hitting a stall, she suggested I walk to chipotle and a nearby college campus-- it was amazing and I loved the chipotle!! She also helped my baby reposition when her head positioning was slightly off, something I didn't instinctually know how to adjust. If you can financially afford a doula, I would definitely recommend one and specifically Hannah!

Frequently asked questions

Do I attend hospital births?

I attend all birth settings, including hospital, home birth and birthing center births.

Do I do epidural births?

My specialty is unmedicated. However, I do gladly support medicated births and there is a lot I can help out with even in a medicated birth. I do things like position changes, get mom water, speak words of encouragement, advocate for mom, and take pictures of the family (if desired).

Do I support unmedicated births?

Yes, my passion is supporting women to achieve their unmedicated dreams. I firmly believe that all women can achieve an unmedicated birth (barring a medical circumstance that indicates being medicated). I have given birth unmedicated twice and I love helping a client find ways to manage the intensity and pain of labor. I come very prepared with all kinds of massage balls and two strong hands to support with hands on counter pressure.
