Hi friend, I’m Prisca, the doula behind your birth friend
I’m a certified doula, wife, and mama with a big heart for walking alongside women through pregnancy, birth, and postpartum.
My care is rooted in connection, the kind that feels genuine, grounding, and personal. I believe doula support should feel less like a service and more like a steady friendship. Someone in your corner who gets it, sees you, and walks with you through it all.
I believe every woman deserves:
gentle, personalized support
evidence-based guidance
and someone who truly sees her
I also believe that knowledge is power. When women understand their options, their bodies, and the birth process, they’re able to step into this journey feeling confident, informed, and deeply supported. I’m passionate about helping women feel equipped and empowered every step of the way.
Birth isn’t just physical, it’s emotional, spiritual, and sacred. That’s why my support goes beyond timelines and checklists. I show up with heart, with presence, and with care that’s built on trust, friendship, and faith.
My faith is the foundation of how I serve. It’s what grounds me, guides me, and helps me hold space with love and grace in every space I enter.
Whether we’re chatting over tea during pregnancy, breathing through contractions together, or unpacking the beautiful, messy layers of postpartum, I’ll be right there with you as your steady, grounded support.
I serve families in North Texas and it would be an honor to walk with you through your journey.
Got questions? Want to connect? Or want to say hi? I’d love to hear from you! I’ve poured a lot of heart into my website, and I would be delighted if you stopped by. I’d love to connect with you there.

Working with Prisca was the best decision we made for our birth. From the very first meeting, she made us feel heard and supported. She provided so much helpful information, helped us feel prepared, and was a calming, reassuring presence throughout labor. Her warmth, knowledge, and encouragement made all the difference. We can’t recommend her enough!

More than a doula, she became part of our family. Prisca walked with us through every stage, pregnancy, birth, and postpartum. She brought snacks. She held my hand. She reminded me to breathe when I was sure I couldn’t do it anymore. And after our baby was born, she checked in, helped with nursing, and even reminded me to take care of myself. She’s truly your birth friend, and we’re so thankful for her.

Best decision we made during our pregnancy. Hiring Prisca was hands down the best investment we made during our pregnancy. She was such a calming presence and made sure we felt informed and prepared. Even when our birth didn’t go exactly as planned, Prisca helped us feel confident and in control. We’ll never forget how she showed up for our family with love, grace, and real wisdom.

Every mama needs a Prisca.
I was nervous about giving birth, especially as a first-time mom. But from our first meeting, Prisca made me feel at peace. She didn’t just show up on birth day, she checked on me constantly, answered all my random texts, and prayed for me when I needed it most. Her presence in the delivery room was grounding. She reminded me of my strength when I forgot. She’s truly a gift.

I truly don’t know how I would’ve made it through my birth without Prisca. From the very beginning, she was calm, reassuring, and so knowledgeable. She explained everything in a way that made me feel empowered, not overwhelmed. My husband and I both felt so supported, like we had someone in our corner who genuinely cared. I can’t recommend her enough!

Frequently asked questions
DO YOU OFFER POSTPARTUM SUPPORT TOO?
Yes! I offer packages that include postpartum visits to help with breastfeeding, newborn care, emotional support, and adjusting to life with a baby. I can also connect you with trusted local resources if you need extra help.
WHAT IF I HAVE A LAST-MINUTE BIRTH PLAN CHANGE?
Birth is unpredictable, but your support doesn't have to be. I'll help you navigate changes with calm and clarity, always prioritizing your peace and informed decision-making.
DO DOULAS WORK WELL WITH CARE PROVIDERS?
Yes! My goal is to work as a team with you and your care provider. Your care provider can tell me helpful information like what position the baby is in, which can help us know what positions and tools to use to help your labor progress. Care providers often ask for the doula's observations on the birth since the doula is with the laboring woman for multiple hours and provides continuity of care. Doulas are trained to provide comfort measures like counter pressure, massage, and breathing techniques. The presence of a doula can help the family feel emotionally supported, and we often serve as a bridge of communication between women, partners, and their care providers so that they can make the best informed decisions for their families.
DO DOULAS REPLACE THE PARTNER?
Absolutely not. As your doula, my role is never to replace your partner but to support both of you. I'm here to encourage, guide, and provide reassurance so your partner can focus fully on loving and supporting you without the stress of managing everything else. During our prenatal meetings, we'll talk through your preferences and birth goals, and make a plan that helps us work together as a team, creating a calm, connected, and empowered birth experience.
DO YOU TAKE MULTIPLE CLIENTS AT ONCE?
Yes, but I take a limited number of clients each month to ensure I can give each family my full attention and care, especially once I'm on-call for your birth.
HOW DO YOU COMMUNICATE WITH CLIENTS?
I'm available by text, phone, and email-and I make a point to respond quickly, especially once you're getting close to your due date.
During prenatal visits, I check in regularly and help you feel confident and informed.
HOW DOES PAYMENT WORK?
A non-refundable deposit holds your spot on my calendar. Payment plans are available, and I'm happy to work with you to make doula care accessible.
ARE YOU CERTIFIED?
I bring both professional training and real-life experience. While I have formal training land ongoing education through DONA), I also believe the best doulas combine knowledge with deep intuition and lived wisdom. You'll get both.
WHY SHOULD I HIRE A DOULA?
Choosing a doula isn't just about having a friendly face in the room (though you'll get that too!) it's a proven way to make birth safer, smoother, and more satisfying. Studies show that women who receive continuous support from a doula experience incredible benefits, including:
40% decrease in the use of Pitocin (synthetic oxytocin)
• 50% decrease in the risk of cesarean birth
• 12% increase in spontaneous vaginal birth
• 9% decrease in the use of pain medications
• 14% decrease in newborns being admitted to special care
• 34% decrease in dissatisfaction with the birth experience
• 25% shorter labors
• 40% reduction in the need for forceps or vacuum assistance
• 68% of moms are still breastfeeding at 6
weeks postpartum
IS A DOULA WORTH THE INVESTMENT?
Absolutely. I know that choosing to invest in doula support is a large financial commitment, and I don't take that lightly.
When you invite me into your story, you're not just hiring a service, you're gaining a steady, reliable presence through one of the most transformational times of your life. From the moment you say "yes," l'm here for you via phone, text, or email, ready to answer questions, calm nerves, and cheer you on. Once you reach 37 weeks, were officially on-call for you 24/7. That means day or night, were just a phone call away when labor begins or when you simply need extra support.
I limit the number of clients I serve each month so I can be fully present and offer the wholehearted care you deserve. This is more than a job, it's my calling, and it's my joy to walk with you every step of the way.
DO YOU HAVE EXPERIENCE WITH LOCAL HOSPITALS AND PROVIDERS?
Yes! I'm familiar with Charlotte's major birth spaces like Atrium Health and Novant Health hospitals, as well as local midwives and OB practices. I know how to navigate their policies and work collaboratively with your chosen care team to support your birth plan.
DO YOU ATTEND HOSPITAL BIRTHS?
Yes! | attend births in hospitals, birth centers, and at home. I'm familiar with many care providers in the Charlotte area and will support you wherever you choose to birth your baby.
IS YOUR CARE FAITH-FRIENDLY OR INCLUSIVE OF SPIRITUAL PRACTICES?
As a Christian, my care is deeply rooted in my faith and the belief that God designed birth with beauty, purpose, and intention. I often incorporate prayer, encouragement, and a Christ-centered approach into my support.
While I don't practice or lead other spiritual traditions, I always strive to serve each family with compassion, respect, and grace. If you're seeking doula care grounded in Biblical truth, I may be a great fit for your journey.
