About Heidi

Welcome! The Centered Space provides expert, evidence-based perinatal mental health assessments, therapy and couples therapy. We treat postpartum anxiety and depression, as well as other pregnancy and postpartum related mental health conditions. The Checkup is our perinatal package which is short-term, comprised of 2-3 sessions before giving birth to check in on your symptoms and set you up for a successful postpartum, providing education and referrals to other professionals as needed, tailored to your needs. We currently are accepting patients in NY both in person and virtually.

The Perinatal Checkup

2-3 sessions (45/min) with a perinatal psychologist before your baby comes to get a baseline for your mental health and provide education. You are encouraged to bring your partner to the sessions if you prefer. We also will meet with you postpartum to check in and assess your health and offer referrals and further support as needed.

$275 USD · Per hour

Miscarriage, Stillbirth & Early Infant Loss Grief & Support Group

An 8-week cycle of in-person (or virtual) grief group specifically focused on disenfranchised losses including miscarriage, stillbirth, and early infant loss. The group will meet in person in Park Slope or virtually depending on what the group prefers.

$60 USD · Per hour

What to expect

Expert, evidence-based therapy assessment and support for perinatal mental health conditions including anxiety, depression, bipolar, birth trauma, infertility and more. We are out-of-network but work with people who have HSA/FSA cards and can provide a superbill for you to submit for out of network benefits. Many of our clients receive between 60-80% reimbursement for services.

Depending on your clinician, fees range from $175-325 per session. Groups cost between $60-100 per session. If you have out of network benefits, we can provide a superbill you can submit to insurance for reimbursement. Many patients with OON benefits receive partial to full reimbursement for our services.

Yes, we are currently recruiting for a group for miscarriage, stillbirth, and early infant loss. We are also recruiting for a parent group for parents of neurodivergent (ADHD, ASD) elementary-school aged children.
