Plan to give birth at hospital, looking for lactation consultant utilizing my dual insurances
Need sizing on my breast pump flanges and making sure my latch is correct. My baby never seems full enough when breast feeding but I pump a decent amount each day.
I need someone who is of the Christian faith like me. I am looking for a doula/midwife/nurse or someone who can do all the above. I need emotional support as well as some medical support, in case I have questions. I also need someone to keep me accountable to my eating habits and diet. I am low income and am on Medicaid. I can pay out of pocket if I have to but hopefully to someone who is not expensive.
Lactation consultant for a deeper more effective latch
I’m having trouble with my baby’s latch. He most of the times latches only on my nipple and it hurts a lot, and now he started unlatching pretty frequently which is very frustrating, so I’d like some help with it because I really want to breastfeed
Baby is a month old, breastfeeding and supplementing with formula. Only getting 1 oz when I pump and when feeding baby she doesn't seem full and cries until given a bottle. Tried pumping after every feed and 2 to 3 hours, supplements, hydrating, etc. Baby is a month old no tongue tie, will latch and nurse. Also will take a bottle. Would like to only breastfeeding baby without supplementing.
Need help navigating a nursing strike with my 6 month old who has only consumed breast milk via nursing & pumped milk in bottles. Has never had trouble with any bottle or switching back & forth between bottle & breast until about 10 days ago and is now refusing breast. Also struggling with some breast pump issues/difficulties and low pump output and would like to address that if possible as well.
Flange sizing, IGT discussion and testing, PCOS, insulin resistance and metformin discussion, etc.
Help with latching baby and correct flange size for pumping
I plan on giving birth in a hospital. Doula must be fully or mostly covered my Medicaid. My birth plan includes no epidural or Pitocin, optimal cord clamping. And at least an hour of skin to skin.(as of now that’s everything I’m open to suggestions) Provider must be knowledgeable and empathetic.
Low milk supply, sudden drop 2 months ago, lots of work stress, pumping not as successful as before. Would like to continue breastfeeding through 18 months, and would like to build freezer supply again.
Lactation consultant to help with latching, feeding.
I was breastfeeding for 6 months then my milk stopped and it came back and then it stopped again and now it’s back
Need a Lactation consultant to help build my supply up
Doula Support Needs & Birth Preferences I am planning to give birth at a birthing center, and my care will be covered through my insurance (Anthem Medicaid Blue Cross Blue Shield). I am looking for a doula who can support me emotionally, physically, and mentally throughout labor, birth, and immediately postpartum. My Birth Preferences: • Birth Setting: Birthing center • Mobility: I want to remain mobile throughout labor with freedom to change positions often. • Eating & Drinking: I would like to be able to eat and drink as I feel comfortable. • Interventions: I prefer minimal interventions. • Cervical Checks: I would like as few cervical checks as possible. • Pain Management: • I want to try natural comfort measures first—movement, massage, breathing, water, etc. • I am open to using nitrous oxide (“the gas”) if needed. • Birthing Options: I am interested in birthing in the bathtub or shower if possible. • Umbilical Cord: My plan is for optimal/physiological cord clamping. • Immediately After Birth: I want uninterrupted skin-to-skin time with my baby. • Hands-Off Approach: I prefer things to be as hands-off as possible from providers unless necessary. Support I Need From a Doula: • Guidance for both me and my fiancé during labor • Help staying grounded mentally and emotionally • Comfort techniques during painful contractions (movement, positions, counterpressure, breathing, etc.) • Advocacy support to help communicate my preferences to the birth team • Gentle reminders or encouragement to keep me in a positive headspace • Support with creating and following through with my birth plan while still staying flexible if needed

Hello Anna, My name is Kali Schafer. My daughter and I have been having a hard time getting her to have a deep latch during breastfeeding. She will occasionally latch well, however is inconsistent and causing a pinching pain when not latched correctly. I will break with seal but I feel she re-latches the same. I want to ensure she is getting adequate food and decrease my pain with my breastfeeding journey.
