Before meeting Houlda, I was scared and unprepared. I do not have a mother of my own nor anyone I could truly talk to about a pregnancy or the birthing process. After meeting with Houlda, I felt prepared and no longer fearful of the unknown. She walked me through everything I needed or wanted to know and was there for me throughout the entire process. She knows many different techniques for the many different stages during labor. She advocated for me when I couldn’t for myself. And she was there for my husband and I after birth to provide advice, knowledge, and support. Right before leaving the hospital, the staff even told me how amazing she was. Even now, 10 weeks postpartum, I get emotional thinking about how beautiful and supported my birth experience was because of her. From the very beginning, she poured into me with care, intention, and genuine love. She didn’t just prepare me for labor, she made me feel safe, confident, and deeply seen.
When the big day came, her presence was everything. Her soothing voice, her prayers, her encouragement. It carried me through moments I didn’t think I could handle. She worked so beautifully with my husband, guiding him so we could stay connected while I was in my own world. She never pressured me, only uplifted and empowered me. Even through hours of pushing, I never felt fear, only peace and strength.
She honored such an intimate moment in our lives while somehow feeling like family. We truly WANTED her there. And her care didn’t stop after delivery, she stayed, checked on us, and continued to support me as I stepped into motherhood.
What she gave me was more than a service, it was a sacred, unforgettable experience. I’m forever grateful.

Absolute gem!
Life can be overwhelming, especially with two little ones under two and even more so when you’re navigating it all in a new state without a village. I was completely stretched thin and unsure how I was going to manage it all.
Then Houlda came in and truly sprang into action. From the moment she stepped in, I felt an immediate sense of relief. She was not only dependable and efficient, but also incredibly compassionate and intuitive to exactly what I needed.
My worries melted away knowing I was in such capable hands. She brought calm to my chaos and support when I needed it most.
