After meeting with Houlda, I felt prepared and no longer fearful of the unknown. She walked me through everything I needed or wanted to know and was there for me throughout the entire process. She knows many different techniques for the many different stages during labor. She advocated for me when I couldn’t for myself. And she was there for my husband and I after birth to provide advice, knowledge, and support. Right before leaving the hospital, the staff even told me how amazing she was. So grateful for Houlda and the the experience she provide for me and my family❤️

From the beginning - I knew everything would work out just as it should. Houlda gave me ALL the tools I need from the very beginning to have a healthy, happy and fulfilling pregnancy. If I ever had any questions or concerns, she was there. In the end, my birthing plans changed and she was still there - doing all she could to bring my baby boy earthside safely. Even through hours of pushing, I never felt fear, only peace and strength. She honored such an intimate moment in our lives while somehow feeling like family. We truly WANTED her there. And her care didn’t stop after delivery, she stayed, checked on us, and continued to support me as I stepped into motherhood. Houlda was the best birth doula. She helped be another voice for my care and birth plan, helping also partner with my husband in fighting for what I needed. Absolute gem! Life can be overwhelming, especially with two little ones under two and even more so when you’re navigating it all in a new state without a village. I was completely stretched thin and unsure how I was going to manage it all. Then Houlda came in and truly sprang into action. From the moment she stepped in, I felt an immediate sense of relief. She was not only dependable and efficient, but also incredibly compassionate and intuitive to exactly what I needed. My worries melted away knowing I was in such capable hands.
