My name is Jade, and I was born and raised in Houston, Texas. I am a mother, an advocate, and the heart behind Crowned Birth Roots. I chose this path because I believe every mother deserves to feel seen, heard, supported, and empowered throughout her pregnancy, birth, and postpartum journey. My passion is rooted in advocacy and a genuine desire to make a difference in the lives of families. As I learned more about the maternal mortality and morbidity rates affecting mothers, I knew I wanted to be part of the change by providing compassionate, informed, and unwavering support.

After years of social justice work, community organizing, and healing facilitation, Tyne became a birth worker in 2023. She focuses on providing grounded, evidenced-based, love and support for families. Most important to me- is that you have the information to make your birth your own, and feel supported & loved while doing so. After she began working as a doula and seeing the disparities amongst mamas, she started providing my services on a sliding scale and mainly works with moms on medicaid through GALS. Tyne is trained through Doula Trainings International, and works with Giving Austin Labor Support (GALS) as an On-Call Doula for Austin hospitals. She also is training through BEST Doula Program for placenta preparation. Tyne is also a trained healing circle facilitator, worked with an indigenous midwifery school Ruruchay in Peru, and loves to support clients through the emotional journey of birth. In addition to birth work, Tyne graduated from Southern Methodist University with a degree in Human Rights, and finishing her masters in Community Organizing and Social Activism. She has worked in several non-profits for the past 6 years. Tyne has also been an actor, director, and performer for over 10 years. I have been a birth worker for 8 years and have 15 years of infant care experience as a professional nanny, postpartum doula, and educator. I am a mom of 4 crazy lovable kiddos (2015, 2017, 2021, and 2023) and I have personally experienced hospital birth and out of hospital birth. It was the care of 2 volunteer doulas during my first birth who helped drive my desire to become a birth worker. I am passionate about education as an incredible tool to build confidence and help birth outcomes. I believe everyone should have access to the highest level of education and care during their pregnancy, birth, and postpartum. This is driven by my belief that every person is born with inherent dignity, value, and worth and that women’s bodies are strong and beautifully made to birth their baby. I have a true calling to do this work and it is an incredible honor to be part of each family’s birth journey that I serve! When I am not teaching childbirth education or processing a placenta, I enjoy servicing at my church and all things musical theatre and fantasy. Two things that will always make me smile are dance parties with my kids and trying new restaurants with my husband.
