About Isis

Hi, I’m Isis, affectionately known as Isis the Doula, and owner of On My Throne Doula Services. I’m a certified Birth and Postpartum Doula serving families throughout the Baltimore area. I am an enrolled Maryland Medicaid doula provider, participating with select Maryland Medicaid managed care plans, and I am newly contracted with CareFirst BlueCross BlueShield for commercial members. I’m passionate about helping families approach pregnancy, birth, and postpartum feeling prepared, respected, and confident in their choices. My approach is calm, compassionate, consent centered, and grounded in education and evidence based information. I especially enjoy helping families understand their options, prepare for birth, practice comfort and relaxation techniques, and create space for partners to feel confident and involved. I believe birth belongs to the family experiencing it. My role is to help you prepare, understand your choices, and provide steady support as your experience unfolds. It is an honor to be invited into that space.

When a partner is present, I help them feel more confident and involved by offering guidance, suggestions, reassurance, and hands on techniques we can use together.
