About me

Hi, my name is Iyonna and I’m a postpartum doula based in the DMV area. My philosophy is that mothers deserve to be nurtured, supported, and cared for during the fourth trimester. I believe the postpartum period is a time for healing, rest, and adjustment, and no mother should feel like she has to navigate it alone. I support families by helping them prepare for postpartum, adjust to life with a newborn, and feel emotionally supported during the early weeks after birth. My approach focuses on creating a calm and nurturing environment through practical support, gentle guidance, and encouragement so mothers can rest, heal, and build confidence in this new season of motherhood.

Service introduction

I support parents through the early weeks with baby so it feels calmer and more manageable. I offer Postpartum Preparation Sessions ($150) to help you set up your home, organize baby areas, and create a personalized Postpartum Recovery Plan. I also provide in-home postpartum doula care ($40/hour daytime, $45/hour overnight) for emotional support, newborn guidance, and practical help. My goal is to help you rest, recover, and feel confident as you adjust to parenthood.
