From the beginning, Jessica has been an absolute delight. We initially met at a coffee shop where we were able to ask questions and learn about Jessica and Janine’s doula styles. After that, we had two prenatal visits (one with Jessica and one with Janine) where they learned about our wishes, wants, and desires for our birth plan. Leading up to the birth, they were available via text or call to support us in any way possible. They were incredibly attentive in the days leading up to birth. Jessica ended up being our doula for birth and we could not be more happy to have had her by our sides the whole time. Throughout the 27 hour labor, she was constant. She offered countless positions to weather the contractions. She valued my partner as a key supporter role and navigated the delegation of support with expert ability. Whether it was walking with us through the labor halls with popsicles in hand or supporting my legs while pushing, she was there. Her presence was invaluable. After birth, she visited after a week to follow up with us and we discussed how the birth went. We learned in addition to the birth support, she took meticulous notes of the whole experience. When we reflect on our birth story, Jessica is at the center of the success and positivity. We could not have been more pleased and honored to have had Jessica as our doula!
