Hi there, I hope you’re doing well. I’m reaching out because I’m currently looking for a birth doula for my October delivery. I’m currently 14 weeks pregnant with an estimated due date of 10/14. I’m planning to deliver at Women & Infants Hospital in Providence with the midwives at the birthing center, and I’m based in Mansfield, MA. I’m looking for a doula who is experienced with Women & Infants and supportive of a midwife-led birth experience. This is my first baby and pregnancy, so looking for all the advice and support! I have United Healthcare through Harvard Pilgrim, so I’d also love to know whether you accept this insurance, offer reimbursement support, or can provide a superbill. If you have October availability, I’d love to learn more about your services, experience, pricing, and whether you offer a consultation call. This is my second baby after several years going through IVF. WIth my first, I really struggled during the postpartum period and found that my friends and family were not prepared to offer help, so I appreciate any support (both with caring for the baby, myself after a C-section, and my mental health) that can be offered. I am especially interested if my Blue Cross insurance could be applied.

I plan to give birth at UMass memorial. 1-2k budget. My current birth plan is to have intermittent monitoring, not have an epidural, and limit overall interventions

This will be me and my husband’s second baby. We are planning a hospital birth in Attleboro, MA. My goal is to be unmedicated aside from nitrous oxide and a labor tub provided by the hospital. Our budget is 1500.

Unsure of my options, interested in learning more

First timer here! The thought of giving birth at home sounds cozy and amazing and less invasive, however, for safety reasons most likely a hospital. I’d prefer a hands off experience, I trust my body & that it knows what to do; no Pitocin no epidural, no birthing laying down, etc. Yet I know sometimes we make plans and God giggles. Sometimes I feel naive for not having many questions considering this is my first time giving birth / becoming a mom - I want guidance and support for when those questions arise. A voice for if and when my voice shakes too much. Someone who obviously knows a lot more than I do and CARES. A whole new chapter will be unfolding February 2027, new noises in the house, new sleep schedule (and I’m a sleeeeepy girl regardless of being pregnant), I want to breastfeed sooooo badly, it’s all new to me so someone who has knowledge on all of these new pages would be amazing.

I plan to give birth at Baystate Wesson woman’s hospital in Chicopee, I’ve had two unplanned c sections with no complications and am going back for a tolac, I need someone trained in this willing to help me, I’d like an unmedicated, least intervened water birth experience if possible

This is my first pregnancy, and because I am naturally a very anxious person, it is especially important to me to have a trusted support person in the delivery room who can help advocate for me. I want to ensure that my wishes are clearly communicated and respected throughout labor and delivery, as I may feel overwhelmed in the moment. Having someone act as my voice will help me feel more comfortable, supported, and confident, and will also help ensure that neither I nor my family feel overlooked during this experience. I will be giving birth at UMass Memorial and am covered by Mass General Brigham insurance, and I want to take proactive steps to make sure my care team understands and honors my needs.
