Birth Doula and Belly Binding.
The birth doula package includes childbirth education, lactation support, two in-person or virtual prenatal as well as in-person or virtual labor support and up to two hours postpartum support, use of a birthing ball, and birth planning and preparation of birth choices. Your finalized birth plan and back-up plan will also be provided. Additionally, you will have a series of 3-5 bindings of the postpartum birther from hip to sternum with or without the use of a warming paste using a Muslin cloth generally within the first 6 weeks postpartum unless otherwise indicated. This service is called closing of the bones, and is used to help support the organs while they transition to their pre-pregnancy positions, to aid the bones in returning to the closed positions after being opened during pregnancy and birth, and to give warmth to the core after the loss of warmth from the baby and the extra fluids and blood carried during pregnancy. It aids in preventing postpartum organ prolapse, postpartum mental health issues, by helping the birther feel warmth, bonding, pampered, and cared for, and reminds those around the birther of the limitations a birther needs to have to successfully heal from birth.
