Second baby, Planning a hospital birth in Decatur GA, I really want an unmediated birth with someone who can truly support and guide me throughout my birthing decisions, coping with pain and best delivery positions at birth. I have Aetna and I am not sure on a budget because this is my first time but something affordable would be great.

I am having a hospital birth at northside hospital. I am hoping to have an unmedicated birth and no c section unless a medical emergency. I want to be able to move around as much as possible and do different positions (not just lying on my back) I would like some time before the placenta comes out (hopefully it will detach on its own) I don’t want any Pitocin and I would like myself and the baby’s dad to be able to do skin to skin contact with the baby the first hour. Had a full term vaginal birth before back in October 2012, I’ve never had a doula before so I don’t know the cost but I am interested in having one.

Would like to labor at home as long as possible or even until delivery if able. Other wise hospital. Budget is at 3500 for both labor and postpartum services. My birth plan is to avoid interventions as much as possible. I do not want to be induced unless medically necessary. No membrane sweeps or breaking of water, I would even love to skip cervical checks. I would love to water birth at home if safe and able. If not I would like wireless monitoring if available and to be able to move freely around the room. I would like to deliver in whatever position is most comfortable and protects the most from tearing. If he wants to I’d love for dad to catch the baby and deliver the news of the gender. I want to wait to cut the cord until it is done pulsing. I would like to protect the golden hour to bond with my baby. No immunizations or erythromycin ointment for baby. If a boy no circumcision until at least 8 days later with a pediatrician.

First birth, Have been going to Emory hospital of Decatur, Low risk pregnancy, 13 weeks along so far. I am okay with giving birth at a hospital, but dont want to be in the standard position and I dont want medication. we have tricare humana east.

I need Support during my delivery at Emory Decatur. My plan is less intervention birth, strong mental support, friendly and knowledgeable doula. I am very scared of tearing and also making a bad decision out of fear. I’m scared of epidural and Pitocin as well (needles in general), because of some of their side effects.
