I’d like a water birth at a safe facility please. And I’d like to spend a bit less vs. a hospital. I want to be seen and heard.
I would like to give birth in a hospital or find an adequate birthing center. I would like a provider that is either black or has extensive experience working with pregnant black women. I hope to use my insurance to cover most of the expenses. But I am willing to pay some out of pocket expenses. I am newly pregnant so I do not have a birth plan. That is something I would like help figuring out with a provider.
I’d like to give birth in my home 5000 minimum budget. Calm experience just me and husband
Thinking about birthing center. My husband is a full time student and part time first responder, and I’m a sahm, so as affordable as possible or covered by insurange. Medicaid -ambetter
Would like to do a home birth Some one who respect how I feel and will let me know what going on in every step of laboring and birthing.
Midwife that will deliver my baby at my home. Budget around 5,000. I would like do do a natural birth
I plan to give birth at home with no epidural which I'm hoping could be covered by insurance so relatively low to no out of pocket
I am unsure as of now, my first birth was with an epidural in the hospitals but my son had gastroschisis so it was heavily monitored. I would love to give birth at home but without a fallback on epidural scares me. Estimated budget it probably $3000-$3500 Birth plan is also TBD I am 11 weeks. If I did an at home birth I would love a birthing pool. Water calms me a lot. We have a bathtub but it’s tight but it could work instead. No vaccinations at all, minimal medical intervention unless needed. I feel like I shouldn’t book a doula until I know my baby is healthy at the anatomy scan? But I would love your thoughts.
I would like to have a first appointment for my first pregnancy.
I am looking for a midwife or even 2, an doula possibly, and a lactation consultant to guide me through all of the specifics of a home birth and what it all entails! I want to do a home birth (we live in an apartment as well) so bad, but am also nervous of the risks it might come with. My husband and I live 5 minutes from a University of Michigan hospital, and I have an OB. My pregnancy has gone as perfect as it can, and baby is completely healthy and has absolutely no issues! I’m hoping to at least talk to a midwife at first to decide for sure that a home birth is right for me and my baby girl! If my husband and I decide it is for sure what we want then I want to move forward in doing a home birth with a midwife and maybe even a doula?… my husband is completely on board with the home birth idea as well and is super supportive of any route I choose to go! I want to make my dream home birth happen! So I don’t know the price range of what we want to be in, but if our insurance helps us out which I think it should, we can be pretty flexible! I’m not completely sure what the price range is for a midwife and doula either, but I’m definitely going to do some research and see what a reasonable budget is! I’m hoping to find someone patient, takes their time (doesn’t rush the delivery unless medically needed), is soft spoken when needed, and is bubbly and positive! My husband and I are Christians as well, but either way it isn’t a make or break type of thing! I’m flexible with that type of thing! My birth plan is obviously I want to do a home birth if I possibly can, I want to go unmedicated, I want the lights to be on, but dimmed and at my place the lighting is perfect for the amount of light I want to have, I want/need a calm and peaceful environment because I can get stressed easily if the environment is chaotic and rushed, I want to maybe have music playing in the background just to have a peaceful labor, I want to move around as much as possible while laboring, I am very open to cervical checks to see how much I’m dilated as well as checking baby girl’s heart rate on a Doppler, I love encouragement and talking (any sort of fun or easy going conversations is such a great way to help me get through contractions), if i can have pictures and videos taken here and there I would love to get some taken to remember those moments, I’m not exactly sure what position I want to give birth in but I’m thinking on my back on my own bed like normal or sitting up a bit on my bed as well, and I would love to have my husband cut the cord and be as involved as possible in the birth of he wants to be! This birth plan is long and specific, but if it doesn’t go exactly to plan I’m flexible as long as we are both healthy! I’m also not sure if it’s still possible being in an apartment but I really hope it can be! The walls are pretty sound proof:) I am so excited for this journey and I am looking forward to hopefully making my dream home birth a reality!
I would like a midwife who will deliver my baby in a hospital or birth center. Someone who will listen to me and provide reassuring prenatal care
We plan to give birth at Sparrow Hospital in Lansing. Unsure about budget. Unsure about birth plan. We are so new to this.
