About me

I first felt called to serve mothers and babies when I began instructing perinatal yoga classes and birth preparation workshops, and then became a mother myself. I journeyed with birthing families and witnessed their transformation into parenthood. I felt the support and connection from other parents as I lived my own profound transformation. Later, I completed the DONA International Postpartum Doula training through the Simkin Center at Bastyr University, and then became a certified postpartum doula. My approach is to mother the mother so she can heal and regain her energy, and enjoy bonding with her baby. I offer traditional Asian postpartum care and cooking if my clients desire. My aim is to empower parents to trust their own instincts and parent the way they want.

Katherine is an amazing postpartum doula. She is very attentive and dedicated to making sure you rest and relax first and foremost. She helped me take seriously the strictness of staying in bed for the first month postpartum and making sure I wasn't doing too much. Every time she came I was sure to be provided with great food, a break from my beautiful baby and some rest and relaxation for my body whether it was in the form of belly binding, massage or a foot scrub. She was also very knowledgeable about pumping and bottle feeding which I needed since I hadn't done any of that for my first child. I am extremely grateful that I had her as my postpartum doula!

My husband and I had the immense privilege of having Katherine as our postpartum doula for our first 6 weeks as brand new parents. You can tell this isn't just a job for Katherine in the way she puts her entire heart into every day. We were so lucky to have her in our corner; She not only took care of our physical needs (watching the baby so we could sleep, nourishing meals, relaxing massages, belly wrapping, etc), but also watched out for our emotional/mental health needs. She also taught us many practical skills such as bathing our baby, clipping his nails and entertaining/enriching him during his wake windows. Most importantly though, she continuously empowered us, reminding us that we DO know what we're doing and that we're the best parents for our little one- something that was very easy to lose sight of while in the thick of it. My husband, our baby and I all cried on Katherine's last day- it really felt like we had a close family member caring for us, and we were sad to say goodbye to her. If you have the opportunity to work with Katherine, do not hesitate! She is truly a gem, and I'm so grateful that she helped us into this new era of our lives.

I wholeheartedly recommend Katherine Lee and her postpartum doula services. You simply won’t find this level of care anywhere else. I spent a long time trying to put into words the professionalism, warmth, and genuine nurturing that Katherine brought into our home. She is that village every family needs! The truth is, I could write an entire essay and still not capture it all—but I want to highlight just how essential she was for us during the postpartum period, in hopes it helps other families seeking support. Katherine has truly found her calling as a postpartum doula. She brings a deep well of experience, knowledge, and compassion, and she supported my healing journey—both physically and emotionally—every step of the way. As a first-time mom, those early weeks felt especially tender and vulnerable, and her presence made all the difference. Our baby is thriving, and I genuinely believe her care and commitment had a significant positive impact on his early development. The tummy time, nursery rhymes, massages and just all the loving, has turned our newborn into a confident, happy and smiley baby :) On top of everything, Katherine is an incredible cook. She prepared customized, nutrient-rich meals tailored to the first 30 days postpartum (the “Golden Month”) and continued to nourish us well beyond that. Looking back, I now fully realize how invaluable it was to have someone we could trust wholeheartedly—to care for me, our baby, and even dad. I’m endlessly grateful that I found her, she is truly worth her weight in gold.

A Lifesaver During Our First Weeks with Baby – Forever Grateful! We reached out to Katherine at the very last minute when we were really struggling to juggle the arrival of our baby and all other household responsibilities. To our surprise, she was able to accommodate us and showed up at our door ready to help. She not only took incredible care of our newborn, but she also made sure we were cared for too — cooking nourishing meals, helping us get rest, and guiding us through the basics of newborn care with so much patience and kindness. She helped us learn how to soothe, feed, and care for our baby in a way that felt empowering instead of overwhelming. We are endlessly thankful for her support. If you’re lucky enough to have Katherine available - don’t hesitate for a second. She’s truly amazing.

Katherine was our postpartum doula with our second baby. She is such an amazing postpartum doula and really strives to make you feel at ease during a tough postpartum period. She is so warm, loving, and caring and fit into our household seamlessly. Our 2.5 year old toddler warmed up to her quickly and would constantly ask about when she was coming back next. She was also great with our 2 cats and dog. Katherine can do it all! A few of the things we had her help with were newborn care, prepping us nourishing meals and snacks (her cooking is delicious!), wearing the baby as she helped with some household chores so I could take a shower or nap, massage, preparing sitz baths, and soothing the baby when she was fussy. When we were together, she also provided me some much needed talk therapy, just like chatting with a close friend. She is also incredibly proactive and was constantly finding things to do to make our lives easier after she finished up with the tasks we asked her to help with each day, which is perfect in a stressful time. She also went above and beyond when our dog got sick and my husband had to take him to the emergency vet. She offered to come by late at night when I was stressing out about having to deal with my toddler’s refusal to go to sleep while the baby was going through witching hour. She came by our place and told me to get some sleep and I was extremely grateful. Overall, we had such an amazing experience with Katherine! Our family loves Katherine so much and we hope to have a lasting friendship with her!

Katherine was our wonderful doula for eight weeks, and we highly recommend her! She is the sweetest, kindest person, who genuinely cares for your family’s well-being. She’s incredibly proactive and self-driven, and she will figure out what needs to be done without needing to be managed. We’ve been continually amazed by her ability to care for our newborn son (who needed to be worn in a carrier for every nap) while simultaneously cooking delicious meals for us (not to worry, she set him down before using the stove or dealing with raw meat!). We’ve also been so heart-warmed to watch Katherine play with our son -- from singing nursery rhymes to doing tummy time on our yoga ball, our son loved spending time with Katherine and was very at ease with her. Katherine also provided much needed emotional support to me, a first time mom who felt incredibly out of her element and out of her body in these first few weeks postpartum. It’s been a joy to have Katherine, and her help made our transition into parenthood much easier than it would have been. Thank you so much, Katherine, we miss you!

We worked with Katherine as our postpartum doula, and I truly can’t say enough good things about her. She came into our lives during a really challenging time — I was recovering from a difficult delivery and struggling with breastfeeding — and her support made an immediate and lasting impact on our family. Before finding Katherine, I had worked with three other doulas, and none of them were the right fit. Katherine was completely different — knowledgeable, nurturing, and proactive without being intrusive. She supported us both during the day and overnight when needed, and even rearranged her schedule to be there when my husband had to leave for a business trip during the early postpartum weeks. That kind of flexibility and dedication is rare. As a first-time mom and an Asian American, I appreciated how Katherine respected and embraced our family’s cultural values. She understood the importance of confinement traditions and prepared food that aligned with Eastern postpartum healing practices. At the same time, she brought a wealth of experience with newborn care and always made sure our preferences were honored — for instance, we followed safe sleep guidelines (baby on back), and she respected that fully, only suggesting brief supervised side-lying when our baby had reflux, and always with clear communication. She’s the kind of person who sees what needs to be done and does it — from feeding and soothing the baby to folding laundry, washing bottles, tidying up, and even offering back massages when I was sore from pumping. Every visit looked a little different depending on our needs that day, but she was always thoughtful, efficient, and incredibly reliable. More than anything, Katherine was a steady, calming presence. She didn’t just care for us — she guided us through the “firsts” of parenthood with compassion, warmth, and quiet confidence. She felt like a partner, a mentor, and a friend. My son adored her, and so did we. I recommend Katherine wholeheartedly to any new parent looking for someone who is both deeply competent and deeply caring. She truly went above and beyond.

At this point, Katherine has become part of my family. She took care of me and my firstborn in 2021. And she took care of me again in Feb 2025 when I had my daughter. I cannot recommend Katherine enough to any parent who is in need of some rest and healing. I am so grateful to have found such a wonderful doula. She took care of my daughter as her own and because of my confidence in her I was able to rest completely whenever she was in my home. She cooked, baked, did light house duties, took care of the baby and made sure that I was coping with motherhood. She sang to my daughter constantly and gave her massages! When I had issues with breastfeeding, she encouraged me and comforted me through my tears and struggles. When I had general questions she was able to provide advise and resources to help me navigate through them. Even after her time with my family was over, she checked in on us to make sure that I was coping well. She is extremely empathetic, kind patient and gracious. I highly recommend her. She is one of a kind :)

Postpartum is hard; Spending several days in the hospital welcoming our child into world and then be immediately thrusted into the chaotic world of new parenthood means that we were confused, scared, and exhausted. Luckily Katherine was there for us during this amazing and intense time with guidance on how to take care of our new baby while doing an absolutely expert job in also taking care of us. You can expect delicious food, a calming presence, and most importantly valuable sleep under Katherine's care. The golden month is a magical time as we watch our little miracle grow and thrive but it would have been very difficult had it not been for Katherine. If you are looking to be fully present and to enjoy your time with your new baby, definitely consider Katherine to guide you through the process. We are very glad that we did.

When I got pregnant, I knew I wanted more support for my partner and I when we brought our newborn home. I had done a fair amount of research to find a postpartum doula but I did not anticipate just how much help Katherine could provide (even though she filled us in when we met). Katherine is an absolute wonder of a person. Not only does she help looking after the baby, but she cooks delicious meals, helps clean, and provided much needed emotional support and suggestions for baby and personal care with loving kindness. She helped keep us afloat through the hardest newborn weeks and I will always be grateful.

**Updated: We had Katherine back to care for our second baby in summer 2024 because our experience with the first baby was amazing. Katherine took very good care of the baby and always make sure that I have enough rest. The sitz bath and the massage helped a lot with my postpartum recovery. Katherine is very caring and encouraging and she respects my choices in how to feed the baby (breastfeeding v. pumping v. formula), which is very important. I would highly recommend! Hiring Katherine is the best decision that we've made since she is such a life-saver for our postpartum life. Katherine is very caring, patient, encouraging, and considerate and will always find a way to help us. She took very good care of not just my newborn baby, but everyone in my family. She made sure that I always have things to eat and drink while feeding the baby, and that me and my husband get enough time to rest during the day. We were nervous as new parents about taking care of our newborn, but with Katherine's help and all the helpful information she provided to us, we are confident that we can be great parents that provide the best care we could for our newborn.

Katharine is one of the most caring and hardworking individuals that I have ever had the privilege to know. My wife and I approached Katharine for help with our second child, after enduring a difficult time with our first. She was incredibly compassionate and sensitive to our needs, and enabled us to truly enjoy our newborn phase in a way that we unfortunately weren't able to the first time around. Beyond the "typical" caretaker duties (e.g. diapers, bottles, bathing, etc.), Katharine also provides invaluable emotional support when things get tough. Whether it's dealing with self-doubt, family turmoil, or other external stressors, she will always help you to navigate your struggles and come out feeling positive and whole. One of Katharine's many superpowers is that she is incredibly in tune with the needs of the entire family, and often addresses them before you even realize. For example, before our first newborn checkup, she had already packed diaper bags and snacks for mom to make sure that a potentially exhausting trip could go as smoothly as possible. It felt like every time we needed help with anything, big or small, she was already there to help without us even asking. I would offer the highest recommendation to anyone considering Katharine, and my only regret is that we didn't hire her for our first child.

Omg. Where do I start. Whoever gets to meet Katherine, I’m envious of you. Postpartum is such an unexpected, precious and sensitive time. We were so lucky to have her. She took care of me better than myself. I’m a very dull person and I signed up for help because people said help was needed. She knew what I needed before I knew about the kind of help I needed. Someone whom you can trust to take care of a vulnerable baby is extremely important. And she was above and beyond! I learned so much about how to take care of my baby. And she’ll not only take care of your baby, but she’ll make you a confident, happy mama, who’s well taken care of. Katherine, if I could, I wish I can have you in our family all our life. Thank you for being there for us. It was such a precious journey with you!!!!

We had the pleasure of working with Katherine as our postpartum doula after the birth of our son this past summer. Going in as first-time parents, we had no idea what to expect and were overwhelmed. Katherine provided the exact expertise, warmth, and care that we needed to help make our transition to a family of three much easier and more enjoyable. I always looked forward to her visits and learned so much from her, including developing my own confidence as a new mother. Katherine is kind, highly efficient, and very quickly responsive to all questions and concerns even after the initial postpartum period. Additionally, Katherine is very flexible and helpful in so many different areas. When my husband and I were sleep deprived with a brand new newborn, she assisted us with nighttime support. When I sprained my back, Katherine immediately came to support and care for me with a multitude of options. Having a postpartum doula is a life-saver and I would highly recommend Katherine to anyone looking for one!

We were so lucky to have Katherine as our doula for 2 months after our daughter was born and cannot recommend her enough! Her genuine love for caring for babies (and moms!) was immediately obvious, and I felt completely comfortable as a first- time mom leaving my baby in her care while dad and I caught up on some much-needed sleep. Our baby adored her! Katherine is a self-starter and, as soon as she arrives, quickly figures out exactly how she can provide the most support with little to no direction (so helpful during those early foggy days!). Her magic power is preparing nutritious, warming and nourishing meals out of (sometimes very random) fridge and pantry ingredients, keeping us all so well-fed. Some of our favorite meals were her egg/spinach bakes, savory oatmeal and cozy Indian lentils, and jammy Korean eggs. She even made delicious French toast out of brioche hot dog buns in our freezer and left us with double batches of her yummy lactation cookie dough, ready to bake! Katherine anticipates needs that, as first-time parents, we didn’t even know we had - for example, the night before our first pediatrician appointment, while we napped, she packed our diaper bag with all the things we’d need, with formula portioned out and a bottle ready to go, and snacks and beverages for mom included too! She is also very observant and proactive at identifying potential issues. When she noticed traces of urate crystals in our newborn’s diapers, she immediately informed us and advised us to flag this for our doctor (after courageously diving into the pail to retrieve the sample to bring along!). When our hospital failed to set us up for breastfeeding success, it was Katherine who taught us how to use a pump, shared tips for breastfeeding and connected us with lactation consultants. But out of all of the wonderful ways she supported our family, I am most grateful for the compassion and empathy she showed me as a new mom and for her very wise counsel and encouragement during this period of radical personal change. Katherine truly has a gift. We can't thank her enough!

Katherine was our postpartum doula when our first son was born in 2022. She was such an invaluable part of our care and recovery that we hired her again to support our family after the arrival of our daughter in 2024! Katherine is kind, empathetic, and knowledgeable and works incredibly hard to ensure the family is cared for, nourished, and rested. She helped us feel confident in our skills as new parents, offering support and suggestions for baby care, while always respecting our own preferences and judgement. She's also well connected in the broader community and can point you towards resources if support is needed that extends beyond her expertise. If you're considering postpartum support, I'd highly recommend Katherine!

We hired Katherine a few months into my postpartum period. Our baby was in the nicu for ten weeks and had special feeding needs. I was tube feeding, pumping and bottle feeding. I wasn't breastfeeding. Katherine was extremely attentive to my family and my needs. She was just amazing at anticipating our needs and learning the in and outs of our household that by the end she would do things without being asked. She was very efficient. I loved that she cared for me, the mom, by making sure I always had water and food nearby. She checked in with me about my emotional needs as well. We did a yoga session which was amazing.  Her cooking was delicious and nutritious as well. She taught us some life changing hacks on how to soothe our baby and infant massage that we still do today. I liked that she was goal oriented and got the tasks done even if it meant staying a few extra minutes. She would be in the background cooking or doing laundry but would know when to jump in to help us with our baby. Overtime she felt like a member of our family. I have the highest regards for Katherine and the work she does.  She is probably the best postpartum doula out there. If you need additional help at home, she is the way to go!

Everyone should have a Katherine. As a first time parent with no idea what I was doing and no family close by I was expecting my early postpartum time to be really stressful and miserable. But instead I felt so cared for and supported thanks to Katherine. She is knowledgeable, empathetic, and can walk into your chaotic home and immediately see what needs to be done and start setting things right. She helped us figure out how to take care of our baby, watched the baby so we could get sleep and take care of ourselves, cooked for us, did laundry, and helped me heal after giving birth. She was invaluable in our first weeks with the new baby. Without her help we would have had a really difficult time, but instead we can look back fondly on those first precious weeks with our baby.

This is the second time we’ve had the pleasure of working with Katherine to support me after the birth of our second child. We feel incredibly fortunate to have her help. This time, we began her support two months postpartum, after my parents had been assisting, and it was still the best decision we made. Katherine is exceptionally attentive, supportive, and thoughtful—she truly knows her craft. She provided assistance exactly where I needed it and always maintained a high level of professionalism. Her help with preparing nutritious meals was invaluable, and she exceeded our expectations. Additionally, Katherine was wonderful with our 2.5-year-old, whom she also cared for when our daughter was born. They bonded quickly, giving me peace of mind and much-needed break. Katherine was also fantastic with our baby boy. She would sing to him, do baby yoga, supervise tummy time, and introduce sensory play activities. Her interaction with him was amazing and greatly contributed to his development. If you are seeking a postpartum doula to support you, Katherine is an excellent choice. You will be in great hands with her! :)

Katherine came into our lives during one of the most challenging times. Our second child arrived a month early. Adapting to life with a premie infant and a toddler was a detour we were not anticipating. I am so thankful that Katherine was a stop on this detour. Her expertise, compassion, and care was so important to our family. She helped with my recovery, ensured our infant has his needs addressed and helped him thrive, and supported our family in so many ways. I cannot recommend Katherine enough for anyone in the postpartum and fourth trimester journey. Having Katherine in your corner is invaluable. My only regret is not reaching out to her with my first child.

So grateful to have had the Golden Month package with Katherine as my postpartum doula! She was everything I hoped for to support me after having my first child. She was supportive and accessible to me before and after birth. She helped me prepare by giving me recommendations for a variety of things and services to consider. After baby came, she made herself available to whatever I needed—she came based on the schedule that worked best for me, cooked amazing nourishing meals for me, took care of me and my baby (so I could sleep!), gave me massages, cleaned, taught me different tips and tricks, etc. I was always amazed by how much she could accomplish and how much she could cook during the time she was with us! She could whip something nourishing up with whatever ingredients I had on hand—it was like a cooking challenge I had for her each day! Overall it was a great experience and I would highly recommend her ❤️

I initially did not consider getting a doula as I thought my husband and I would find a way to work through postpartum on our own. When it became clear that we were not going to get family support, my husband and his friends suggested we start interviewing doulas. I was still skeptical, but in a short amount of time my doubts and dismissiveness completely went away. The change and transition we went through were unimaginably powerful, and we are forever grateful for the care and support that Katherine provided each of us. I remember the first time talking with Katherine - she made us feel comfortable and cared for right away. With the birth of our son I needed to recover, and at the same time we had to get adjusted to caring for our son 24/7. Katherine met us where we were, paid careful attention to our individual differences and needs, and guided us through with a personalized approach. One of my favorite memories is watching Katherine singing to our son. We've learned many interactive songs and exercise movements from her. Another favorite is sharing our thoughts and questions as first time parents with Katherine each morning. Katherine's calm presence and expertise provided us with a great amount of comfort and assurance. Katherine is an excellent communicator. We so appreciated her check-ins, follow ups, and reminders throughout the week. Last but not least, she is an excellent cook! Everytime Katherine visited us we were well fed, introduced to new ingredients, and given delicious cooking tips. I would suggest all expecting mothers to schedule an interview with Katherine. Katherine's guidance was invaluable for us to transition into a family of three.

I'm incredibly grateful to have found Katherine for my postpartum care. She took great care of me, always ensuring I'm well-hydrated, cooking all three meals, and even making sure I have a dessert or snack between meals to support breastfeeding. Katherine doesn’t just take care of me; she also ensures that my husband and baby are well-fed. We've learned so much from her about caring for our baby. We love her very much and highly recommend her.

You and baby would be well nurtured by Katherine. She sweeps in and takes care of you - making delicious frittatas and golden milk tea for you, feeding and putting baby to sleep, and folds your clothes and cleans the bottles. We love Katherine! Katherine was our postpartum doula, but she was supporting me even before the contract officially kicked-in. I leaned on her for support and guidance, and she was always there. She went out of her way to help me at every step. She truly cared and provided resources, information, and support to speed up my recovery. Katherine prepared small snack boxes for me and put them at all location where I sat to rest or nurse. I was really touched by the thoughtful gesture. She helped keep my house in order, cooked for us, took care of my new born and she was very patient with my older kid- reading to her, feeding her, and playing with her, while I rested. With Katherine around, I missed my family much less than I would have otherwise. I cannot say enough good things about her. She is a blessing for new moms and their babies!

Katherine is the most supportive, caring, kind and efficient person I've ever seen. Whenever she is here, she provides great relief to the mom, the baby, and even the whole family. We were so lucky to have Katherine as our Doula for the first few weeks of our baby boy’s life. I can't express to you the amount of invaluable advice she gifted us with, and we are better parents for having her in our lives. Katherine consistently went above and beyond her duties. Our first day at home and fresh from the hospital, we had a serious postpartum medical issue that landed me back in the hospital for the next few days. Away from my newborn baby only days after his birth, Katherine was our knight in shining armor. While I was in the hospital, my husband and her combined forces to care for the baby. She was able to show my husband how to make formula (which was not planned) and answer any questions he had - even allowing him some sleep so he could care for me in the hospital while also caring for the baby the following next few days. When we returned home, she cooked us excellent meals and made our home feel warm, comfortable and welcoming for our newborn son. If you're lucky enough to get Katherine as your Doula, just know you are in EXCELLENT hands and your journey as parents will be exponentially improved. We look forward to a long friendship and can't wait for our next newborn to experience her abundance of love and knowledge.

I wholeheartedly recommend Katherine as a postpartum doula. We feel incredibly fortunate to have hired her. Katherine's attentiveness and top-notch care were evident from the moment she started working with us. Following my C-section, her assistance was invaluable; she ensured I was well-nourished, hydrated, and provided delicious meals and cut fruits, all while efficiently managing household tasks. Her adeptness with the baby was remarkable, and as new parents, we learned a great deal from her. Katherine is punctual, demonstrates excellent work ethics, and is undeniably the best choice for anyone seeking a postpartum doula.

After a not-so-easy birth to a fussy baby, I can not imagine how I would have survived the first couple weeks without Katherine’s help. Not only is she knowledgeable when it comes to all things babies and moms, but she also helped tremendously with all challenges that comes with postpartum (mental health, family dynamics, etc.) During such a delicate time, having someone as caring as Katherine really helped us navigating through an exciting, new, at the same time challenging time. Highly recommended!!!

Katherine is the best doula ever. What distinguishes Katherine is not just her proficiency in practical aspects of postpartum support—like helping with feeding, soothing techniques, and establishing routines—but also her unwavering emotional support. She listened attentively, provided encouragement, and offered valuable advice without ever imposing her views, fostering an environment where we felt heard and supported in our parenting journey. Her flexibility and availability were also truly remarkable. It’s great experience to work with her!

As new parents from another country, having a baby was both exciting and a bit scary. Katherine made everything so much easier and happier for us. Our baby arrived earlier than expected, but Katherine was able to make room to care for us. When she stepped into our home, we felt very relaxed and reassured. She took sincere care for both the mother and the baby. She taught us how to change the diaper, feed, bathe, carry, play and exercise with the baby. She is an expert to ensure baby grows in a healthy way. She is also knowledgable for postpartum recovery with traditional Asian background including message, spa, herbal tea and well nutritious dishes. Without her help, we wouldn't be able to recover both physically and mentally in just a few weeks. Katherine introduced us to various professionals based on our requirements, which include the psychologist, LC, physical therapist, etc. We benefited a lot from her help. Katherine made sure we take care of ourselves. She reminded us to rest and eat well, which was something we might have forgotten in the busy days with a newborn. We were totally overwhelmed both physically and mentally. Katherine's caring relieved our stress, and we felt empowered to take care of ourselves with our new family member going forward. Her support made a big difference for our family, and we're really grateful. If you're a new parent and you need someone who is not just good at baby stuff but also a caring friend, I highly recommend Katherine. She's been a blessing for us in this special time.

When I was looking to hire a doula, it was important for me to have a doula who would be able cook nourishing meals for me in my postpartum recovery and to provide assistance with taking care of our baby so my husband and I could get some much needed rest. Katherine met every single one of our expectations and more! I always looked forward to the days Katherine came over, and I know my husband and I could breathe a little easier whenever she was there. She is extremely efficient with her time - often cooking an afternoon snack and a whole dinner all while taking care of our baby so we could take an afternoon nap in the 4 hours she was at our house. Katherine makes such delicious meals, she could whip up anything you want. I would send her a recipe and she would be able to make them without any issues! She could also make any dish from just what we have in our kitchen. I remember specifically one time I hadn't eaten anything before she came and she made me something in 5 mins, it was amazing! I never have to worry about what to eat when she was around. She would make such a big batch I often have leftovers too! Katherine also gave the best massages (for me and for baby) that were extremely relaxing and such a treat to a long tiring day. On top of all that, Katherine is extremely knowledgeable on what babies need, and taught me so many things as a first time mother I would have never known on my own. She supported me emotionally when things were challenging and always celebrated the small and big victories with me. I felt safe with her and I knew our baby was in good hands with her. Katherine was so magical and was seriously heaven sent, so much so I asked her to extend her weeks with me until she was fully booked with other families. Katherine made such a huge and positive impact to us all and we are forever grateful for her!

We found Katherine after having to deal with an unreliable doula, which added much stress to an already complicated postpartum recovery. The moment Katherine arrived we instantly felt relief. Katherine was reliable, delivering exactly everything she promised. Katherine was caring, providing my wife massages and emotional support, handling the baby with utmost attention and love. Her attention to details was superb (even to our exacting standards). I remembered Katherine straightened up a pair of slippers that we randomly left by the stairs -- such a small detail that exemplifies her professionalism. Ultimately we felt 100% secure in leaving our baby in her care, which is saying a lot since we probably only trust fewer than 5 people in the world to do so. Thank you Katherine!

I found Katherine through a mutual friend and I'm so glad we hired her as my postpartum doula. I had an emergency c-section; without her, I don't think I'd be able to recover so quickly mentally and physically. She is passionate about her job even though she was only at our place part-time (3 times per week and 4 hours daily). She could get many things done, such as caring for me and my newborn, doing laundry, cleaning the house, and even giving me massages. I'm very impressed by how quickly she moves sometimes. Even after our contract ended, she was always happy to answer any questions when we reached out. If you are looking for a postpartum doula, I highly recommend her. :)

Katherine was an excellent doula that always worked to make sure we felt supported through the whole process.  She made sure to bring a lot of love and support in all forms (in-person, calls, texts), and you could always feel like she was doing the best that she could because she cares. I would say that she would be an excellent match for families that want to proactively build the care plan for their child.  Katherine would always tried to present all options at any decision making points and would always follow the family’s lead.  I appreciated the flexibility she provided during our time together and how she went beyond to support our needs, even if it was not within her normal services.  For whatever task or questions we would ask of her, she would make sure to provide support and resources as soon as she could. We really appreciated her help as we navigated our new adventures and challenges, and I hope she’ll be a great match for other families in the future.

It was the wisest decision we made to have Katherine as our postpartum doula. She was not just physically taking care of our newborn, myself and my husband but also gave us a lot emotional supports. She made us delicious and nutritious food, gave myself and the baby amazing massages, taught us how to handle the newborn. She made my first month of maternity like a true vacation.

If you are reading this, you should not pass up the opportunity to have Katherine as part of your perinatal team. As first-time parents, we were naive as to doula responsibilities nor how much support we needed after our child was born. We are forever grateful to have had Katherine as our doula and had NO IDEA how much a single person could make our lives so much easier during a very difficult transition to parenthood. Words can not describe how invaluable Katherine was to our family - literally a lifesaver. Katherine was unavailable immediately during the time my son was born; however, given how impressed we were on her knowledge, compassion, and just our gut feeling after our initial consultation, we had to have her as part of our postpartum transition. She had several check ins with us and promptly answered our questions months even before delivery and we can’t believe she even checked in on us when she was out of the country on vacation. Katherine has an impeccable fund of knowledge, has an amazing knack for identifying ingredients long lost in the cupboard and creating delicious and nutritious meals with them, and was so gentle and caring in guiding and teaching us in how to take care of our infant. She is a self-starter and needs little to no guidance (which is fantastic for sleep-deprived and overwhelmed new parents). She is well versed in anything you can even think about, will do very random tasks around the home (honestly, I don’t think there’s anything she can’t do), and is a true advocate and well-versed resource for our family. She went above and beyond in taking care of our family, develops true bonds with all family members, and true values our well-being. She is the mother of mothers, super-doula of all doulas and we can not be thankful enough for the incredible amount of support she gave us during this time.

One of the best decisions we made was to choose Katherine as our postpartum doula. She has been such a great resource to us in these first weeks with our newborn. We had a complicated first few days after birth at the hospital and Katherine was available by text to answer all of our questions and provide emotional support. During our visits, Katherine attended to both our baby and to us. She was a great source of information, provided hands-on instruction for different skills that were new to us (baby's first bath, belly-binding to help my wife's body recover from labor) and normalized our fears and anxieties as first-time parents. We even woke up from a nap to delicious lactation muffins she had made while watching our baby! Katherine went above and beyond for us. We are thankful for her care!

Katherine truly is a huge help to our family! She is caring, thoughtful, patient, professional, and more importantly, she loves our baby from the bottom of her heart, and she really cares about our family and my health! We've learned a lot from her, and we appreciate her expertise! She has all the tips and tricks to take care of the baby and soothe him. Our baby boy loves her! Also, my parents really enjoy working with and learning from Katherine! She not only coaches my husband and me about how to care for our little boy but also works with my parents and walks them through everything about caring for a newborn. Our family is so happy that we chose her and we so appreciate all of her help! Another thing is that Katherine is so resourceful! After I delivered our boy, I didn't have breastmilk. Katherine encouraged me and gave me a lot of guidance and support, and finally, I had my colostrum. After that, she helped me hire a lactation consultant, and with their help, I finally had breastmilk, which was like magic for me as I had never thought that I would have breastmilk for my baby. We are so thankful for Katherine! If you are reading this and wondering if Katherine would be a good fit for your family, well, let me tell you, she is awesome, and she is such a huge help to us! I fully trust her and enjoy having her with our boy! Katherine is also a language talent, and she can speak good Chinese with my parents who don't speak English. That was so wonderful! Again, we like her, and would love to continue working with her!!!

We were so incredibly grateful to have Katherine as our postpartum doula. We struggle to adequately convey the lasting impact she had on our family and can’t recommend her enough! During our first month with our daughter Katherine’s nurturing care made a huge impact on my ability to recovery from delivery and bond with my baby. She made meals and snacks that were both delicious and nutritious to make sure I was well fed. We enjoyed learning new recipes and continue to make them. During long sleepless nights I was comforted knowing Katherine would arrive the next morning to help care for me and my baby. She really went above and beyond accomplishing much more than I would think possible during her visit giving me more time to rest and relax with my baby. When I struggled emotionally, her empathetic support helped me to cope and get my bearings as a new mom. She was able to offer such rich perspective having helped so many other people through these first months of parenthood.

Can’t ask for a better doula than Katherine! She took care of my family with genuine passion and caring professionally. As new parents, we were scratching our heads on how to take care of the new arrival, and Katherine guided us through the ups and downs. I’d give an extra star if it’s allowed :)
