I provide calm, restful nights for your family and thoughtful care for your newborn. Hi, I’m Mona, founder of Global Doula Care, a multilingual postpartum doula providing overnight newborn care throughout Los Angeles and Orange Counties. Your baby needs care around the clock—and you need care, too. My goal is to share the nighttime workload so you have more opportunities to rest, recover from childbirth, and enjoy your growing family. A background that shapes every detail of my care Alongside my postpartum doula training, I hold a qualification in Hotel, Catering and Institutional Management, have worked as a Spa Director, and spent 20 years as Vice President of a rehabilitation and cancer center. These experiences have shaped my hospitality, organization, attention to comfort, and respect for each family’s culture and preferences. I speak English, Mandarin, Cantonese, Malay, and Indonesian, with conversational Vietnamese. CPR and safety training I hold an American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) Provider certification, which includes infant CPR and is valid through September 2027. Liability insurance I carry professional and general liability insurance for my doula services through August 23, 2027. My professional liability coverage is $1 million per incident and $6 million in aggregate. Vaccination record I received Tdap (whooping cough) and the 2025–2026 seasonal flu vaccine on September 20, 2025, and MMR on April 19, 2024. My records also include pneumococcal (PCV20) and shingles vaccinations. I’m happy to share documentation privately upon request. How I support your nights: • Feeding support, diaper changes, soothing, and settling • Guidance on safe sleep practices • Practical breastfeeding support, although I’m not an IBCLC • Cleaning feeding equipment and keeping feeding and diaper records • Bringing baby to you for breastfeeding and handling care afterward so you can return to rest sooner • Comfortable feeding and changing setups to reduce unnecessary bending and reaching • Nutritious postpartum soup and drinks through my optional Nourish & Rest package Support tailored to your recovery After vaginal birth, you may be managing soreness, tears, and discomfort while adjusting to newborn care. After a C-section, you’re also recovering from abdominal surgery. With twins, two babies’ feeding, changing, and soothing needs add to the overnight workload. For initial care planning, I suggest: • One baby after vaginal birth: 1–2 months • One baby after C-section: 1–2 months • Twins after vaginal birth: 1–2 months • Twins after C-section: 2–3 months These are flexible booking suggestions, rather than fixed medical requirements. We tailor your plan to your recovery, babies’ needs, available family support, and budget. Why consider five nights per week? Consistent overnight support gives your household fewer nights to cover independently. Over eight weeks, five nights per week provides 16 more supported nights than three—more opportunities for rest, practical guidance, and reassurance as you build confidence. When breastfeeding or pumping, you may still need to wake. I handle the surrounding care so you can return to rest sooner, following your clinical team’s feeding guidance. Dedicated overnight care, including families farther from home Based in Rowland Heights, I travel throughout Los Angeles and Orange Counties, with some commutes totaling approximately two hours round trip, depending on location and traffic. I drive a Tesla Model Y and use its supervised driving assistance to help reduce commuting stress while remaining attentive and responsible for driving. I protect my daytime sleep so I can arrive rested, attentive, and ready to care for your baby. I specialize in overnight care and do not alternate between daytime and overnight shifts. Rates and booking: • One baby: $65 per hour • Twins: $85 per hour • Overnight shifts: 8–12 hours • Minimum commitment: five nights per week • References available My doula services provide nonmedical support alongside your obstetric, pediatric, and lactation teams. I’d love to hear about your expected arrival, preferred schedule, and what would help your family feel most supported. I want to highly recommend Mona at Global Doula Care. We got in contact with her when we were looking for a postpartum night doula for our first child. While we interviewed a few doulas and doula agencies, we knew after our initial call that Mona was the right fit. We could tell she was experienced and she checked off a lot of boxes for us (certified through Carrot, spoke multiple languages, friendly with dogs, great cook for postpartum meals to help my wife’s recovery). Through the 7 weeks we had her, Mona was extremely thorough with her process and was a wealth of knowledge for us as first-time parents. She was detailed in how she explained how and why she did certain things for our baby, and it was apparent that our baby was extremely comfortable when she was with Mona. We’re grateful for the time we had with Mona and we wouldn’t hesitate to use her again in the future!

KATHERINE LEE

I first felt called to serve mothers and babies when I began instructing perinatal yoga classes and birth preparation workshops, and then became a mother myself. I journeyed with birthing families and witnessed their transformation into parenthood. I felt the support and connection from other parents as I lived my own profound transformation. Later, I completed the DONA International Postpartum Doula training through the Simkin Center at Bastyr University, and then became a certified postpartum doula. My approach is to mother the mother so she can heal and regain her energy, and enjoy bonding with her baby. I offer traditional Asian postpartum care and cooking if my clients desire. My aim is to empower parents to trust their own instincts and parent the way they want.

Katherine is an amazing postpartum doula. She is very attentive and dedicated to making sure you rest and relax first and foremost. She helped me take seriously the strictness of staying in bed for the first month postpartum and making sure I wasn't doing too much. Every time she came I was sure to be provided with great food, a break from my beautiful baby and some rest and relaxation for my body whether it was in the form of belly binding, massage or a foot scrub. She was also very knowledgeable about pumping and bottle feeding which I needed since I hadn't done any of that for my first child. I am extremely grateful that I had her as my postpartum doula!

Hi! I’m a birth doula, childbirth educator, and lactation counselor with a background in osteopathic medicine and a deep passion for perinatal support. During medical school, I saw how the way we approach and nurture pregnancy and birth can shape early family experience, creating lasting ripple effects. In addition to birth work, I lead parent support groups through PEPS and am a mom of two teens. I understand how unpredictable and transformative the journey into parenthood can be, and my role is to help you feel grounded in the moment and ready for what comes next. Every parent brings their own values and lived experiences—sometimes joyful, always complex—and I offer steady support and advocacy tailored to your unique path.

Working with Jen was one of the best decisions I made for my birth. From the start, she brought a calm, confident, and grounding presence that felt so reassuring. She took the time to understand not just what my birth plan was, but why it mattered to me (which I think made all the difference when things didn’t go exactly as I originally hoped). Throughout pregnancy, she stayed in close contact and was always available when I felt worried or confused. Her guidance through the confusing days of pre/early labor and her arrival as soon as we needed more support made me feel really cared for. During labor, Jen really helped me cope with contractions and stay calm in between. She helped me get into a good flow and pulled many helpful things out of her toolbox (both metaphorically and literally) without disrupting my rhythm. Hospitals make me uneasy, but she helped me stay focused no matter what was going on around me. She kept me grounded when things got intense and I doubted myself. Jen interacted effortlessly with the medical team and brought up helpful questions I wouldn’t have known to ask (monitoring, IV placement, positioning especially during pushing). Between preparation during prenatal meetings and Jen’s encouragement and advocacy during my birth, I was able to stay confident and really be in the moment when my baby arrived. I can’t imagine going through pregnancy and birth without her.

Having doula support will smooth your transition to parenthood- a Magical yet challenging time! We are ready to support all your childbirth and parenting needs, including lactation and sleep.

I don’t even know where to begin in describing how grateful I am for Petra and the incredible support she gave me, my husband, and our son born in April 2024. She was, in every sense of the word, the doula of our dreams. We call her our 'fairy godmother.' We were first-time parents who truly didn’t know what we were doing. Petra walked into our home with a calm, reassuring presence that immediately made us feel safe and supported. Petra never made us feel judged or inadequate — instead, she showed us step by step how to care for our newborn, starting with the first step into our house from the hospital, and my question of, "umm, so where do I put him?". From there, she patiently taught us all the practical skills (feeding, burping, bathing, diapering, soothing, etc.), as we had no idea what we were doing. All the books I read while pregnant did not prepare me for the real thing. Petra prepared us for the real thing. More than the “how-to,” Petra gave us peace of mind. She answered every question with kindness and expertise. She normalized our fears, reassured us when we second-guessed ourselves, and reminded us that we were doing a good job. She also cared for us as parents. She encouraged us to rest, to eat, and to breathe. Her presence lifted so much of the anxiety from those early days and gave us space to bond with our baby rather than drown in uncertainty. Petra was everything we hoped for in a doula: knowledgeable, nurturing, reliable, compassionate, and endlessly patient. She went above and beyond. I can say without exaggeration that she helped us survive and truly enjoy those first weeks as a new family. Suyin also contributed to the post-partum support of our family as my lactation consultant. You really just don't know how difficult breast feeding is until you try it! Suyin helped me with latch, positioning, and confidence. Her visits at our home were comfortable and stress-free, and she helped turned breast-feeding into something I could actually enjoy. I can’t recommend her enough!
