Hi! I’m a birth doula, childbirth educator, and lactation counselor with a background in osteopathic medicine and a deep passion for perinatal support. During medical school, I saw how the way we approach and nurture pregnancy and birth can shape early family experience, creating lasting ripple effects. In addition to birth work, I lead parent support groups through PEPS and am a mom of two teens. I understand how unpredictable and transformative the journey into parenthood can be, and my role is to help you feel grounded in the moment and ready for what comes next. Every parent brings their own values and lived experiences—sometimes joyful, always complex—and I offer steady support and advocacy tailored to your unique path.

Working with Jen was one of the best decisions I made for my birth. From the start, she brought a calm, confident, and grounding presence that felt so reassuring. She took the time to understand not just what my birth plan was, but why it mattered to me (which I think made all the difference when things didn’t go exactly as I originally hoped). Throughout pregnancy, she stayed in close contact and was always available when I felt worried or confused. Her guidance through the confusing days of pre/early labor and her arrival as soon as we needed more support made me feel really cared for. During labor, Jen really helped me cope with contractions and stay calm in between. She helped me get into a good flow and pulled many helpful things out of her toolbox (both metaphorically and literally) without disrupting my rhythm. Hospitals make me uneasy, but she helped me stay focused no matter what was going on around me. She kept me grounded when things got intense and I doubted myself. Jen interacted effortlessly with the medical team and brought up helpful questions I wouldn’t have known to ask (monitoring, IV placement, positioning especially during pushing). Between preparation during prenatal meetings and Jen’s encouragement and advocacy during my birth, I was able to stay confident and really be in the moment when my baby arrived. I can’t imagine going through pregnancy and birth without her.

We hired Jen very last minute and it was the best decision we could have made! We are new to the area and as we got closer to delivery, our anxiety was getting the best of us. We felt unprepared, even though this was our second child. We contacted Jen and she got back to us quickly. We met via Zoom and immediately felt like she was a great match. She came to our house the very next day to go over birthing information and grounding techniques. These turned out to be incredibly helpful during labor. I was induced a day or two later and Jen showed up with coffee for us while we got things started. Throughout labor and delivery, Jen was a grounding force in the room. She was very calm and confident, never overstepping or in the way, but always ready as soon as we needed/wanted her. I ended up in surgery, and she stayed with my husband to help keep him calm, which was a true blessing. I am so incredibly thankful for Jen, her knowledge, empathy and the quiet calm she brings. I highly recommend her.

We were so happy to have Jen be part of our birth team! We really appreciated how well Jen prepared us for our birth experience and all the possible scenarios. We found Jen's labor preparation worksheets to be very helpful for going into delivery and postpartum. Jen is a great resource of information that was super helpful especially for creating our birth plan and for managing pain during labor. Jen worked really well with the medical staff and dad to ensure mom's comfort throughout the labor and delivery. Jen has a great calm demeanor which helped in the hectic day of the delivery. At the end of the journey, we went home with our happy and healthy mom and baby, and we are thankful to Jen for her guidance.
