Hi, I am Kathleen, a Registered Nurse, BSN, PHN, and certified birth doula serving families throughout Orange County. As a mother of two and a nurse with over three years of clinical experience in women's health, I bring a unique combination of medical expertise, personal lived experience, and heartfelt compassion to every birth I support. I understand intimately what it feels like to be in the birthing room — the excitement, the uncertainty, and the profound beauty of welcoming a new life into the world, and it is that understanding that drives my passion for doula work. What to expect

I offer a comprehensive suite of birth and wellness services designed to support you from pregnancy through the early postpartum period. My services include prenatal consultations to help you develop your personalized birth plan and prepare emotionally and physically for labor, continuous labor and delivery support with comfort measures including positioning, breathing techniques, acupressure, and aromatherapy, and a postpartum follow-up visit to support your recovery, newborn care questions, and emotional well-being. As a Registered Nurse with specialized training in women's health and neonatal resuscitation, I also offer an exclusive RN-level prenatal education series covering fetal monitoring, labor progression, pain management options, breastfeeding, and newborn care, giving you informed, evidence-based preparation. Additional add-on services include birth photography, lactation counseling support, and virtual doula services for families unable to access in-person care. As a proud member of AWHONN and a mother of two, every service I offer is rooted in clinical expertise, genuine compassion, and an unwavering commitment to making your birth experience everything you deserve.

What sets me apart is my background as a Registered Nurse with specialized training in women's health, neonatal resuscitation, and public health nursing. Most doulas offer emotional and physical support during birth, and I absolutely do that too, but I also bring clinical expertise that allows me to help you truly understand what is happening medically during your labor, explain your options in a way that is clear and empowering, and recognize when something needs the attention of your care team. I am also a mother of two myself, so I have personally experienced the vulnerability and joy of being in that birthing room. You are not just getting a doula- you are getting a nurse, an advocate, an educator, and a mother who genuinely understands what you are going through."

Will you be able to attend my birth no matter what time it happens

Absolutely — birth does not follow a schedule, and neither do I. When you hire me as your doula, I commit to being available around the clock as your due date approaches. I will be on call for you and will join you at your birth location when you are in active labor, regardless of the time of day or night. I also maintain a trusted backup doula in the rare event of a true emergency on my end, so you will never be without support. Your birth is my priority."

Do you work with all hospitals in Orange County, and can I still have a doula if I am planning an epidural?

Yes and yes — I work with all major hospitals throughout Orange County, including Hoag, Providence St. Joseph's, MemorialCare, and others, and I fully support every birth plan and every pain management choice you make. My role is never to push a particular type of birth experience — it is to support YOUR experience, whatever that looks like for you and your family. Whether you are planning an unmedicated birth, an epidural, a scheduled cesarean, or you simply want to keep your options open, I will be right there with you every step of the way — informed, prepared, and completely in your corner
