About me

Hello, I’m currently working toward completing my doula certification, and I’m looking for birthing parents who would be willing to have me support them as one of my first solo clients. I’m just two births away from completing my certification, and I would be incredibly grateful for the opportunity to be invited into such an intimate and meaningful part of someone’s life. I believe every birthing person deserves to feel heard, respected, informed, safe, and supported. The birthing parent deserves to have a voice in their birth, to ask questions, to change your mind, to be vulnerable, to advocate for yourself, and ultimately to have autonomy over your own body and your own experience. My role isn’t to tell you how to birth. It’s to stand beside you, listen to you, remind you of your strength, help you feel supported in your choices, and be there when things feel overwhelming. I want to be the person in your corner who can say, “You’re not alone. I’m right here.” I serve the Portland/ Vancouver Metro area and am currently available to support families with due dates in October, January and beyond. I know that being a newer doula means I’m still learning, growing, and finding my way — but what I can promise is that I will show up with my whole heart. I will listen. I will learn. I will respect you. And I will care deeply about the experience you have. With Kindness, Katie

Going into the birth of my first child, I had a lot of anxiety surrounding the entire experience. Katie was such a calming, nurturing, and supportive presence throughout the entire process. She walked me through every scenario, helped me understand what was happening, and constantly encouraged me with positive reassurance throughout labor. She was incredibly hands-on and attentive, helping me through my back labor contractions and reminding me to breathe through each one. Katie made me feel strong, capable, and powerful as I brought my baby girl earthside. I truly don’t think I could have gotten through my birthing experience without Katie. I am so grateful for her support, encouragement, and presence during such an important and life-changing moment. She made me feel safe, heard, and confident every step of the way.
