I have an overwhelming amount of gratitude for Katrina. As a first-time mom, stepping into such an unknown and vulnerable season of life, having her by my side was one of the greatest gifts I could have asked for. She created such a safe, peaceful, and loving space for my husband and me to welcome our son into this world, and that is something I will carry with me forever. Katrina is incredibly attentive, supportive, compassionate, caring, and deeply nurturing in every way. There were so many moments throughout this journey where her presence, reassurance, and care meant more to me than words can fully express. I truly cannot imagine going through this experience without her. What she gave us went far beyond the role of a midwife. Not only did we have the blessing of being cared for by someone so extraordinary, but we also gained a lifelong relationship that we will always treasure. She will forever hold a special place in our hearts.

I had an absolutely amazing home birth experience with Katrina and I’m so glad she was the one there for it. Throughout my pregnancy she was always such a great listener and I never felt like my appointments were rushed. Having that level of care made my birth experience so positive. If you are considering prenatal care with a midwife and a home birth (or even not sure if you are), do yourself the biggest favor and reach out to Katrina Hollon. I always knew I wanted a low-intervention pregnancy and birth, but as a first time mom and Physician Assistant, I had some concerns about birthing at home. After speaking with Katrina when I was 6 week pregnant, she immediately calmed my anxieties and I knew this was the prenatal and birth plan I wanted. It was truly the best decision I could have made. Pregnancy and birth, especially for a first time mom, can be very scary and having a midwife who spent the necessary time with me every visit was invaluable. I was never rushed through an appointment and always saw Katrina, allowing us to build a relationship and comfort before the birth. She made me feel so safe and cared for throughout the entire experience. I had such a positive pregnancy and birth, which I can mainly contribute to being under Katrina’s care. I cannot recommend Katrina enough and would choose her again and again without hesitation!

I recently experienced a home birth with Katrina as my midwife. This was my 2nd birth and 1st home birth. I cannot express in words how amazing the experience was! Katrina was incredible throughout the entire process from the first prenatal appointment to my final follow-op postpartum. She was kind, compassionate and knowledgeable. I would recommend Katrina to anyone considering a home birth!

Working with Katrina has truly been a blessing from the Lord! Her prenatal and postnatal care reflects just how deeply she cares for the moms she supports. Throughout my time with her, she communicated with compassion and clarity—always offering thoughtful answers and excellent recommendations when I needed additional resources. Because of Katrina, I was able to have the birth experience I had always dreamed of. She brought peace, calm, and her strong faith into my birth space, which made all the difference. Katrina has the biggest heart, and I honestly can’t imagine going through future pregnancies without her. My wife and I recently had our second baby (home birth) with the help of Katrina. We transitioned from our first which we had through the hospital system which convinced us to have a c-section. After our first baby we vowed to avoid the hospital at all costs. From our experience, the mainstream doctors and nurses use high pressure tactics to lead you into doing what they want. Speaking to other families and listening to their experiences were very similar, it seemed they were all pressured into getting c-sections. It makes sense from the doctor's point of view, that c-sections provide the least liability to them since they are in complete control of the delivery. Why would a hospital doctor/surgeon want a random schedule, not knowing when they would need to deliver a baby? Besides this, whenever we questioned the doctors if there was some unnecessary test or inspection, we were met with pushback, they wouldn't take no for an answer unless we were stern with them. Looking back at it, the doctors were always ready to tell us the risks associated with denying some of their services, but were never really transparent with the risks associated with their recommendations. The difference between Katrina and the hospital system is night and day. The home birth experience from my point of view was very calming the whole way through, which is what set our baby up to have good sleep patterns. We plan to call on Katrina to deliver our next ones, and we definitely recommend her to anyone who may be open to a home birth. Thank you Katrina.

Honestly can’t believe I haven’t posted a review yet! My first is now over a year, expecting my second, and am thrilled to get to work with Katrina again! Kind, caring, sweet — she’s the most supportive person I could ever ask for. She gives so much of herself and her time to make sure mommas are truly comfortable and feel safe, something all first time moms desperately need! Katrina was a Godsend! After having an unplanned c section and a hospital vbac with my two previous births, I knew I wanted the natural home birth I always dreamed of for my third. Katrina eased my fears and gave me the encouragement and confidence I needed to make my dream a reality. My birth was everything I hoped for! With Katrina as your midwife you are not just another number like you are in traditional practices. She takes the time to truly get to know who you are as a person and your needs and desires during pregnancy/labor. I felt seen and heard every appointment. I wish every woman had access to the level of care Katrina Hollon provides. Katrina helped me every step of my pregnancy. When complications arose she referred me to USF. Her presence is comforting and every prenatal visit leaves you feeling heard and cared for. Every fear or question is met with empathy. She provides you with options so you can make an informed decision. My daughter was welcomed at prenatal visits and included. She eased my husband’s concerns about a home birth. My delivery could have easily turned into an emergency situation but Katrina’s calm presence and expertise kept my son and I safe. We will be forever thankful for her! The postpartum care has been phenomenal- I feel so cared for physically and emotionally. Katrina’s book recommendations helped me prepare for labor and postpartum. Her 15+ years of experience gave me comfort and she is always citing current research. I felt confident in her abilities to care for me and my child. I was so thankful for her holistic approach which left me with an amazing birthing experience. She is living out her call as a midwife.
