Liz was an amazing instructor; I loved her class so much I connected her and my doula to refer each other! Everything learned in class will be wonderful to have in my treasure chest on my birthing day. It was great she included my husband Anthony as well. The videos were great to see and I couldn’t be more obsessed with rainbow tapes! They’ve literally saved my sleeping!! Hypnobirthing is an amazing concept I want everyone to know about and believe in. We don’t need medication or to be uncomfortable. We need to believe in ourselves and Liz did a wonderful job teaching us this 🙂 thank you Liz!” -Lauren B. Had a wonderful experience taking this HypnoBirthing course! I would highly recommend, Liz’s knowledge and dedication is phenomenal. -Julia W. I completed my HypnoBirthing course with Liz when I was 34 weeks pregnant. Liz was down-to-earth, eager to help and support. With the knowledge from Liz’s course and the tools given to us by HypnoBirthing Mommys, we were able to do a completely unmedicated birth. I was able to labor primarily at home and was able to manage my surges just with our HypnoBirthing tools. When we went to the hospital, the doctors and nurses were surprised at my demeanor (at first they did not believe I was in labor and talked about sending me home). They asked my husband if I was always this calm and controlled. I attribute this to having gone through the HypnoBirthing Mommys course and practicing for the five weeks between starting the course and when our son was born. As someone who was very worried about having a traumatic birth, I cannot advocate enough for this course and Liz as an instructor! -Danielle J.

I am a mama of 3, deeply devoted to the sacred work of supporting women during pregnancy, birth, and postpartum. Birth is my passion, my calling, my ministry—it is a profound honor to walk alongside women during this very transformational time. I believe that our bodies are designed for birth and that women should hold ultimate authority over their birth experience. My mission is to help women recognize their innate power, trust their instincts, and choose aligned support that empowers them to have a positive experience. I guide women in peeling back the layers of trauma and fear, helping them find their voice, reclaim their power, and birth on their terms. Whether you’re preparing for birth, navigating postpartum, or seeking healing after birth trauma, I am here to serve you. Birth is sacred, and every woman deserves to feel supported, seen, and powerful on her journey.

I cannot say enough wonderful things about my experience with Ireta Hunter. From the moment labor began, she was a calming and reassuring presence. She stayed right by my side, rubbing my feet through contractions, offering words of encouragement, and helping me stay grounded and focused. She recommended sitting on the peanut ball during my labor and it was a game changer from my previous labor. Because of her support, I was able to have the natural birth I had hoped for—it was truly an empowering experience that I will carry with me forever. She reminded me of my strength at every step, and I felt safe, supported, and confident in my choices. Even after birth, she continued to check in and offer postpartum support, which meant so much during those first tender days. Her compassion, knowledge, and gentle presence made such a difference in my journey in motherhood. If you’re looking for a doula who is not only skilled but truly cares about you as a whole person, I wholeheartedly recommend Ireta Hunter. She helped me welcome my baby into the world in the most beautiful way, and I am endlessly grateful.

Hello everyone! My name is Soleil Townes, I am the owner of Evangeline Birthing Services, which provides full-spectrum doula services to those in select counties in New Jersey and Pennsylvania. I have a passion for helping queer families of color have beautiful birth experiences and receive the support they need whether that is grief support or adoption support. I fell in love with birth work during my years at Montclair State University where I obtained my Bachelor’s degree in Family Sciences and Human Development. While there, I took a class called “Medical Humanities” where I learned the different health disparities different ethnicities have faced in our health care system. What stood out to me was how Black birthing persons have such high birthing mortality rates. And upon further research, I stumbled upon the beauty and importance of birth work. I have always had a passion for helping queer families of color, and this shines through my work. I have over 5 years of childcare experience before becoming a doula. When I'm not working, I spend my free time expanding my hobbies: video games, reading, attending comic and anime conventions, community service, watching cartoons, and creating handmade jewelry.

I had the most incredible experience with Maria! From start to finish, she was so attentive, supportive, and truly went above and beyond to make sure I had everything I needed. Hello Mamas! I am Ashley and I am so glad that you have found my lactation profile. I am a caring and compassionate lactation consultant that was inspired to enter lactation consulting after my first failed attempt to breastfeed my oldest daughter. After diving into breastfeeding education, I successfully breastfed my youngest son for sixteen months with the help of an amazing lactation consultant (see, even lactation consultants need lactation consultants). In 2020, I completed a Doctorate of Public Health degree where my research focused on breastfeeding success. For the past six years, I have been working in higher education, while volunteering for a breastfeeding organization. In September of 2020, I sat for and passed the IBCLC exam. I am also a certified lactation educator and provide prenatal educational classes. I am originally from Northeastern Pennsylvania and currently reside in Brooklyn, New York with my husband and two children. Being in NYC, I do have some favorite places including the MET and the American Museum of Natural History (because it’s my daughter's favorite).
