About me

Hello! My name is Kennedy, and I would be honored to offer my services to you as a birth doula OR an overnight post partum doula/newborn care specialist! My philosophy is that judgement and restriction has no place in birth work. I'm not here to tell you what to do or turn my nose up at you for what you choose not to do. I'm here to support your decisions, let you know the pros and cons, and teach you how to trust your intuition when it comes to your baby and your body. My number one goal is to always provide a safe space for you and your family as you navigate the messy beauty that is birth and postpartum. I cannot wait to hear from you and I wish you the best of luck in your search to find the perfect fit for you and your tribe!

It is with great pleasure that we recommend Kennedy Pennington as a night nanny. She was so helpful with our baby. Kind, caring, sweet, compassionate, and most importantly patient. She answered so many of our questions and when she herself didn’t have an answer, she would do the research for us. She is so wise for her age and such an intelligent young lady. We’re so glad that she helped us out in our time of need and remained someone we can rely on years later.

It is with much enthusiasm and excitement that I type out this letter of recommendation for Kennedy Pennington. I have had both the pleasure and the honor to witness Kennedy blossom into an intelligent, genuinely kind, and compassionate young woman. When she reached out to me asking if she could provide her services for my newborn baby, I immediately agreed. Kennedy went above and beyond for me during my postpartum journey. She was patient, proactive, and incredibly professional. Not once in the entire experience did I ever feel judged for a single decision I made, and I trusted her with my baby wholeheartedly. I had some problems getting baby to latch and had essentially given up by the time Kennedy came on. She never made me feel bad about it, as I was under the impression that most birth workers are told to push for the most ‘natural’ course of things, breastfeeding being high on that list. When I told my story, I was vulnerable and on the defense, ready to have to defend my choices. Kennedy never questioned them, not once. She listened to my story, comforted me, and then immediately moved on and began discussing some formulas I’d probably like to try and if there was anything she could do to make recovery easier for me. That moment, as small as it was, told me everything I needed to know about the kind of person Kennedy is, and how incredibly suited she is for this field. I look forward to working with her again, should the situation ever arise!
