I love the opportunity to empower new parents and help them recognize and achieve their goals for birth and postpartum. I connect deeply with my clients and care for them as if they are my own family.

Kayla was both my birth and postpartum doula and I had an incredible experience with her for both. Before birth she did classes with my husband and I so that we would feel more prepared on things like the labor process and infant care. During these she was incredibly knowledgeable. She had lots of information prepared and also answered any and all questions we had. She clearly put a lot of thought into what information was important to go over and I left feeling much more knowledgeable than before. During my labor experience she was supportive, caring, and knowledgeable every step of the way. I had a very long labor that ended in an unplanned c section and I feel like without her the experience would've felt impossible. She not only supported me but also supported my husband during this experience and he feels strongly that she made our experience so much better by being there. She also was my postpartum doula. I completely trusted her with care of my newborn and she did an amazing job. I tend to be an anxious person but she is someone i feel 100% comfortable around. My daughter loves her and she took great care of her. She also was very knowledgeable and supportive during this time and had many tips that made the postpartum period much easier. I'll always be grateful for her and I would recommend her to anyone.

Adrea was recommended to me by a friend of a friend, who had used her twice for postpartum newborn care. She is an expert in baby sleep!! Adrea is also very kind, trustworthy, and knowledgeable. She did not have availability to help me at night, but made herself available as much as possible during the day so I could get some much needed sleep. So so grateful for her. Highly recommend!!

Hi! My name is Katherine (Kate), and I am a certified birth & postpartum doula primarily offering postpartum support. I have a Masters degree in Public Health with a focus Maternal and Child Health Services, and nearly a decade of experience in this work. I first became certified as a doula in 2020, and have since worked in various family serving roles in education, public health, and nonprofit. Through all of my experience, I got to uniquely understand the needs of families and the resources available, always striving towards building a pregnancy, birth, postpartum, and parenting experience for all. When I welcomed my first child, I felt the impact of this work in a whole new way. My own experience seriously rocked my world, and I realized I needed to be back in doula work, directly supporting others going through this amazing and life-changing transformation. We weren’t meant to do this alone. And you don’t have to. I would love to support you during this time, and cheer you on as we figure this out.

Kate has been an indispensable part of my postpartum journey. Her first overnight shift coincided with me experiencing a postpartum hemorrhage. While my husband and I were in the ER navigating this frightening birth complication, we felt at peace knowing our newborn was in more than capable hands. It was a relief not to have to carry the mental load of infant care during such a stressful time. Given her own complex birth story, I felt that Kate could truly understand the curveballs thrown our way and meet them with grace and empathy. One of the biggest milestones of my postpartum journey has been breastfeeding on demand, and Kate played an instrumental role in helping me get there. Since I exclusively pumped and bottle-fed my firstborn, I had little confidence that I’d be able to breastfeed my second baby. Kate’s gentle encouragement, practical lactation tips, and weekly check-ins gave me the confidence and support I needed to keep going. She helped me turn something I wasn’t sure I could do into a meaningful part of my bond with my baby. Early on, I was struck by Kate’s humility. She listened as I processed my anxieties out loud. She gave hand and foot massages with aromatherapy in the comfort of my own home. Her public health experience makes her a great resource for evidence-based guidance and WA state programs. As someone deeply embedded in our local community, she was also a great connector. Kate’s care extended to our home, too. She folded laundry, organized bottles and pump parts, decluttered our living spaces, and prepared comfort foods and nourishing meals. She anticipated my needs without requiring oversight. She’s proactive, observant, and a true self-starter. I would wholeheartedly recommend Kate to any mother looking for compassionate postpartum support.

Labor, Postpartum, lactation and Infant Care Specialist (ProDoula) Growing up, I was empowered having been around so many strong, independent women and it led me toward a path of wanting to carry that into my career. I believe that pregnancy and birth and postpartum are monumental life experiences that no one should have to do alone. Every person so matter their background or beliefs deserves support and respect as they venture through this major life transition. My personal philosophy of what doula embodies is a person who stands beside the new parent(s) to help with guidance, validation, and empowerment. For the last decade of my life I have been devoted to this practice, caring for and assisting with dozens of families to thrive in not only their family life but into their communities. And I hope to continue this practice for a long time.

Lexie was our doula for the birth of our babygirl and we couldn’t have asked for a better one! From our very first phone call we were impressed! Lexie is extremely knowledgeable about the birth world. We appreciated how she took the time to speak to us on the phone to learn about our goals and even walk us through a breathing exercise. We booked her when I was 38 weeks pregnant so there was some urgency with setting up our prenatal visit and wanting to make sure everything would work out for whenever we went into labor. From the beginning of finding her, Lexie was prompt in communicating with us through text and calls and that was very important to us. Her passion and knowledge came through so clearly during our prenatal visit and she gave us so much advice on birth, breastfeeding, sleep safety, and postpartum. Lexie was encouraging of our goal to do an unmedicated birth but when plans changed she wasn’t pushy, she was supportive. There was a moment where we had to make some tough decisions and Lexie made sure we had all the information for everything that was being thrown at us during labor and we got to the hospital! We’ve learned so much from her and I personally as a mom have felt supported and seen even during postpartum. She has a passion for supporting new moms and has been sweet enough to check in often since giving birth two months ago. I’ve appreciated having someone to ask questions to, especially since my husband and I don’t have family support here in Washington since moving here a few years ago. Overall, I highly recommend Lexie! I’m extremely grateful that our paths crossed and she helped welcome our babygirl !!

Harneet was an incredible postpartum doula for our family, and we can’t recommend her highly enough. She was always punctual, dependable, and responsive, which gave us so much peace of mind during those early weeks. She quickly learned our daughter’s routines and provided excellent overnight care so we could get the rest we desperately needed. Our family also faced an unexpected medical diagnosis for our baby, and Harneet was a wonderful source of support throughout that experience. HI I’m Vanessa, Bronx-born, now based in WA, and I’m passionate about supporting, educating, and empowering families through one of the most important moments of their lives: birth. As an Afro-Latina birth doula and spiritual healer, I believe birth deserves to be treated with care, respect, advocacy, and real support; not fear or pressure. I completed my Birth Doula Workshop Training through the Simkin Center at Bastyr University in July 2023, where I gained the hands-on training and knowledge to support families through pregnancy, labor, birth, and postpartum care. My approach is equal parts nurturing and no-nonsense. I’m here to make sure you feel informed, supported, and heard every step of the way. Whether that means helping you navigate the hospital system, offering emotional support during labor, providing comfort measures, or simply reminding you that your voice matters. I’m in your corner. Always. I believe birth is sacred, powerful, and deeply personal. Every parent deserves to feel safe, respected, and empowered while bringing life into this world. My role is to hold space for you, advocate for you when needed, and help you move through this experience with confidence, strength, and peace of mind. At the end of the day, I bring both heart and real-life energy into this work. I’m not just here to “look supportive” in the background. I’m here to support you for real. We’re going to get through this together.
