I will be having a hospital birth, but I want to be able to have an unmedicated birth in whatever position feels right and be able to do that with the support of someone who can advocate for me when I cannot. Along with not just delayed cord clamping I want to wait until the cord is white and no longer pulsing. Having someone there to help me remain comfortable and confident in myself and my decisions. I would also like to gain the knowledge on what to do before, during, and after labor. This is my first pregnancy at 34 year old and im a bit nervous. My budget is around $1,000-1,500.

Assuming everything is low-risk and safe, I desire to have an unmedicated vaginal birth with freedom to move around, try different positions, labor in the shower if helpful, and to bring God and prayer into the delivery room. This is my first child and honestly I don’t really know too much about midwives and doulas, I just know I want an at home birth and a trusted supportive midwife by my side. I’ve tried all the birthing centers in the area and they are all booked in August. I thank you for taking the time out to read this.
