We cannot recommend Krista enough. Our pregnancy journey would have looked totally different if it wasn't for her. Being a first time parent is scary enough but having someone in your corner to advocate for what's best for you is a game-changer. My husband & I can not thank Connected Mumma Doula enough for not only supporting me throughout my whole entire pregnancy, but also showing up & keeping me grounded during the birth of my beautiful baby girl💗. Krista has been here for me through and through from the start. She is highly educated in early childhood development along with being a certified doula. I could ask her anything, & without judgment she confidently gave me answers, along with support and actual resources. She made sure I was fully educated on what I was making a decision on and never steered me in the way I felt that she favored. I manifested an unmedicated birth experience since before ever becoming pregnant. This had to change when we discovered my daughter was still in the breech position at 36 weeks. Krista kept me calm and continued to encourage me to make the decision I felt most comfortable with, not the doctors or anyone else. My daughter didn't flip after trying everything I possibly could. I felt discouraged at times but she reminded me that my birth can still be just as beautiful no matter what i choose. I went over all of my options & decided it was best to bring her into this world through a gentle belly birth. Krista helped me feel empowered in my decision. My baby girl came roaring into this world @ 9:53 am on 12/21/22 (on my 27th birthday). Krista was there to hold my hand, keep my husband grounded ,& take lots of pictures we will cherish for the rest of our lives. Every team member in the OR had a printed copy of my birthplan thanks to Krista. They all made it so special for us & even sang us both Happy Birthday. It definitely wasn't the way I had "planned" birth, but it couldn't have been more beautiful & perfect.💗
