What to expect

Pillars of overnight care: Baby Care — so you can begin to leave that sleep deprived state behind. The details vary depending how you feed your baby, but the intention is to hand over as much responsibility as possible so you can truly rest for the night. Feeds, diapers, bottle washing, pump sterilization, milk storage, and putting your baby back to sleep (iykyk). Rest for the Whole Family — however “family” looks to you. Moms, dads, partners, grandparents, older kiddos, pets—everyone benefits from a full nights rest. And yes, I am always happy to take one for the team and snuggle the dog! Feeding Support — for the breastfeeding and pumping parents. A comforting companion during those sometimes lonely nighttime sessions. I’ll bring baby to you when they’re ready, make sure you’re comfortable, have water and a snack nearby, and help with positioning. When baby is finished, you head straight back to bed. Leave the burping, diapers, and settling back to sleep to me. The Rest of It—if baby’s schedule approves. When your baby is sleeping soundly (yes, it can happen!) you’ll find me fitting in some light meal prep, baking, taking care of the laundry & putting away the dishes. I’ll make sure you and your home feel ready for the day ahead. Regular Check Ins — your time to talk and be heard. We’ll start every shift with a check-in. Think of it as an opportunity to discuss your day, your wins (so we can celebrate!), any questions or challenges that are coming up, and discuss priorities for the night.

Our family cannot say enough good things about Kristy. We absolutely adore her, and her time with our family was so crucial to our positive postpartum experience overall. She came to us to cover another doula who was on vacation, and instantly we recognized her energy was what our family needed. She is calm, warm, kind and very relaxed, in a way that our baby responded to instantly, and we also needed in our home. Not only did she take fabulous care of our daughter, but my husband and I as well. She helped do light household tasks that made us feel less chaotic in this vulnerable time. She also helped prepare snacks and meals to keep us sustained. She easily fit into our family's rhythm and it really filled our hearts to see how much she loved our daughter. We could go on and on about how much we loved working with Kristy, and we definitely recommend her to all of our friends having babies!

Kristy was a wonderful support to our family during our little one newborn stage in the winter ?? of 2024. Her calm, caring presence and practical guidance helped us feel much more confident with feeding, settling, sleep, and newborn care. She was fantastic with our little one and equally supportive of us as tired new parents—always kind, reassuring, and non-judgmental. We’re so grateful for her help and would highly recommend Kristy to any new family.?? thanks, swati

As first-time parents, we felt incredibly lucky to have Kristy supporting us during such a special (and sometimes overwhelming) time. She is so knowledgeable, caring, and has a calm, down-to-earth presence that immediately put us at ease. She was always so patient and supportive, answering so many of my (sometimes silly!) questions without ever making me feel unsure or overwhelmed. She connected so naturally with our daughter, Florence, and was able to soothe her with such ease—it was amazing to witness. One of the most special moments for us was when she gave Florence her very first bath, something we will cherish and remember forever. Kristy truly goes above and beyond, and we are so grateful for everything she’s done for our family. We would wholeheartedly recommend her as a postpartum doula to any family looking for compassionate, knowledgeable, and supportive care.
