A Miami native and mother herself, she brings a calm, patient, and grounded presence to every family she serves. Known for having “the patience of an angel,” she blends evidence-based care with intuitive, nurturing support. With two degrees and years of hands-on experience, Lacretia supports families through hospital births, home births alongside a midwife, prenatal guidance, overnight newborn care, daytime postpartum care, and weekend/holiday support. She is deeply committed to creating a safe, empowering, and peaceful transition for new parents. I support families through pregnancy, birth, and postpartum with birth preparation, labor support, newborn care, feeding support, and daytime or overnight postpartum care. I attend hospital births and home births alongside a licensed midwife.

Do you attend hospital births in Miami?

Yes. I support births at all Miami-area hospitals, including Mt. Sinai, Jackson, Baptist, Memorial, and more.

When do you go “on-call” for my birth?

I go on-call at 38 weeks and remain available 24/7 until your baby arrives.

How many clients do you take each month?

To ensure fully present, high-quality care, I only take 1–2 birth clients per month.

What does overnight postpartum care include?

Overnight care includes newborn soothing, feeding assistance, diapering, bottle prep/cleaning, and ensuring parents get restorative rest.

Do you offer support for breastfeeding and bottle-feeding?

Yes. I provide latching help, pumping basics, bottle introduction, and creating feeding plans tailored to your family’s needs.

Do you meet families before booking?

Absolutely. I offer a complimentary 15–20 minute consultation so we can connect, discuss your needs, and ensure we’re a great fit.

What happens if my birth takes longer than expected?

There are no extra fees for long labors. Once I arrive, I remain with you for the duration of your birth.

Are your services covered by insurance?

Most doula services are paid privately, but some families may be reimbursed depending on their plan. I can provide invoices or documentation upon request.
