I plan to give birth in a hospital. I'm striving for an unmediated birth. I would like the doula to have knowledge in eastern medicine or herbalism. I try to practice tradition Chinese medicine principals where I can. I would love for the prenatal doula to help with herbal, dietary needs, help with guidance on unmedicated births, and help be an advocate at the hospital. Postpartum I would like help with training, cooking for mom, and education on how to best care for our baby when needed.

First baby, planning a hospital birth in either Littleton Advent or Sky Ridge. Hoping for an unmedicated birth and l would like someone who can support me and advocate for me at the hospital, and coach my partner as well. Would like a check-up or two postpartum as well. I have Doula coverage with my Cigna insurance.

Answer: hospital Question: Provide your estimated budget Answer: I don’t really have a budget because I’m not sure what options are out there as I’m just beginning my searches so I don’t want to limit or exclude Question: Describe your birth plan Answer: right now this isn’t super built out, like mentioned I’m pretty early in this search but things I do know, vaginal birth unless a complication or emergency drives a c section, epidural, goal is short labor Question: Describe your requirements for the provider (certification, number of years experience, second language spoken) Answer: someone solid who knows their stuff. No preference on second languages Question: Details about care recipients (Age, special needs, feeding, etc.) Answer: supporting through birth Question: Include any additional duties (Sleep training, cleaning, cooking, laundry etc.) Answer: right now my main focus would be birthing support and all that surrounds support during birth. Any additional duties may change along the way but aren’t pressing right now.

I’m first time mom and I’m not quite sure what to know.. I just need a little help of everything.

Planning to give birth in a hospital, tricare should completely cover costs for a doula, no birth plan established yet, at least 5 years of doula experience is preferred, my wife's age is 22 and she is a type 1 diabetic meaning it is a high-risk pregnancy. Requirements from Tricare for doulas: A current certification from one of the following: BirthWorks International, Childbirth and Postpartum Professional Association (CAPPA), Doulas of North America (DONA) International, International Childbirth Education Association (ICEA), ToLABOR, or National Black Doulas Association (NBDA). Participation in a qualified, statewide Medicaid program may be recognized in lieu of one of these national certifications. I have Kaiser. I’m looking at giving birth at Rose Hospital. My budget is based off what my insurance covers. I have heard Kaiser will cover doulas. My birth plan is kinda fluid right now. I’m hoping to have a VBAC. I would like it to be unmedicated and if I can to labor in a tub. I want skin to skin immediately, delayed cord clamping and to not be forced unless my body is fully ready. I refuse to do things on a physicians timeline. I’d prefer the doula to be certified, have an NPI and to have as much experience as I can hope for. This is my 2nd baby so I’d need help making sure this goes as smooth as possible. I would love help around the house post partum but I’m not sure what insurance covers.

Hi! My name is Heavan Shaw. I am 23 years old and 17 weeks pregnant. I am looking for a doula to provide support throughout my pregnancy and my birth. I plan on giving birth in a hospital or a possible birthing center. I am looking into the birthing center I am interested in here soon. I don’t have a budget or haven’t made on yet. I am still working on my birth plan this is my first pregnancy so everything is super new to me, I know I want an unmedicated birth that’s about all I know as of right now.
