I’m planning to give birth in a hospital but I would like a doula to help with education prior to delivery. Education specifically around labor and pain management skills, as I have the intention of having an unmedicated birth. I would also like help creating a birthing plan, potentially help with advocacy during my hospital stay. I am interested in placenta encapsulation. I would also be open to hearing about postpartum services but don’t have any specific ideas of what that looks like right now.

Hello, I am having to give birth in a hospital, but I want to have my baby natural. My doctor wanted me to have another c section but I told her I wanted to give my body a chance. I have a 3 year old and my husband as my family and that is it. We don’t have any other support. My birth plan is to labor at home as much as possible and then go to St. Francis when it’s the right time. I am not sure what my budget is, but I am open to whatever.

I think I need help with everything. I’ve had three previous C-sections and pregnant with my fourth child. I am searching for a VBAC and I understand the risks i’m having a view back after that many C-sections however I would like to give birth vaginally. Both Hospital and home birth I have considered I am struggling to find somewhere to go to to have birth that accepts my insurance. Midwife that could not see me due to her practice recommended a home birth potentially. This probably seems very naïve, but I haven’t considered a budget. I’ve never done this before and it’s all brand new. I would like to go into labor on my own as far as 42 weeks, minimal interventions, and have a vaginal birth I would like to be up and moving around as much as possible.

I have Kaiser. I’m looking at giving birth at Rose Hospital. My budget is based off what my insurance covers. I have heard Kaiser will cover doulas. My birth plan is kinda fluid right now. I’m hoping to have a VBAC. I would like it to be unmedicated and if I can to labor in a tub. I want skin to skin immediately, delayed cord clamping and to not be forced unless my body is fully ready. I refuse to do things on a physicians timeline. I’d prefer the doula to be certified, have an NPI and to have as much experience as I can hope for. This is my 2nd baby so I’d need help making sure this goes as smooth as possible. I would love help around the house post partum but I’m not sure what insurance covers.

I am due in September and planning to give birth in a hospital (UC Health - Anschutz). I have not decided on a birth plan yet. My insurance plan is with Aetna PPO (through my work). I would ideally like a doula that is African American (as I am) but I am open to other backgrounds as well.
