Plan to give birth at Denver health hospital, I have Medicaid Colorado so lactation and doula services would be covered
Need lactation consulting, birth in hospital, want as much coverage through insurance as possible
I am looking for a female-only birth doula for a hospital birth in Denver this April. My budget is approximately $1,500–$2,500 (to be reimbursed via Maven Wallet). My goal is a supportive, calm environment where I can receive an epidural for pain management but avoid medical induction unless absolutely necessary. I am looking for a doula who is an expert in 'epidural positioning' to keep labor progressing and can suggest specific techniques or precautions to help me avoid tearing. My partner will be my primary support, and I do not want any men in the room other than him. I value a 'hands-off' approach to the second stage of labor; I prefer to avoid forced or coached pushing and instead want to wait until I feel the urge (laboring down). Post-birth, I am prioritizing delayed cord clamping, immediate skin-to-skin, and ensuring the baby does not leave the room for routine assessments.
Would like to give birth at a birthing center if possible. I am not sure what the typical cost is so I would like to hear more about cost. 30 year old 8 weeks pregnant with first child.
I’d like to find a location consultant to come to my home to support breast feeding a few days after birth!
Lutheran medical center Medicaid I have no money. My birth plan is a scheduled C-section I had a baby last Christmas 12/25/24 so it is required I have a c section again.
We plan to give birth at the hospital, but I'd like to labor as long as possible at home. I'm looking to have a low-intervention water birth. immediate skin to skin after birth (mom + Dad), delayed cord clamping (waiting until cord is white & no longer pulsating), no baby bath, first feed, minimal cervical checks, mobile baby monitoring so I can walk around, no pitocin or epidural, IV hep-lock/saline-lock, & no hep b vaccine. Pregnant with my first, 25 years old, would like breastfeeding support. as well
Plan to give birth at the hospital, unsure of budget and would love to have a vaginal birth as unmedicated as possible but not against an epidural. My husband is a Spanish speaker, learning English so I would love someone willing to support him as well even if not fully bilingual.
I am not sure if I am latching correctly. My baby is really gassy after feeds and his lips almost look white. It feels like he has a deep latch, but want to double check. I would like someone who is younger and also a mother
My baby is 4 months old and doesn’t latch anymore and with pumping I feel like I’m not getting enough to fill her up. I’m wanting to get help to latch her again. She will latch on once in a while but not for every feed. Also wanting help to increase my milk, getting 4-6 oz with my first pump and after more than 3oz.
I am looking for a lactation consultant who can help improve nursing with my newborn. He seemed to be latching okay, but he wasn't gaining weight and was still below birth weight at our 2-week appointment. My supply has been good (pumping 5-6 oz every 3 hours), so maybe it's a transfer issue. Our pediatrician told us to start supplementing with formula 3 days ago. Since then, he has gained weight and is now above birth weight, but he is having more trouble latching. I would like some assistance urgently to ensure I can continue to breastfeed going forward.
