I am due in September and planning to give birth in a hospital (UC Health - Anschutz). I have not decided on a birth plan yet. My insurance plan is with Aetna PPO (through my work). I would ideally like a doula that is African American (as I am) but I am open to other backgrounds as well.

Would like to give birth at a birthing center if possible. I am not sure what the typical cost is so I would like to hear more about cost. 30 year old 8 weeks pregnant with first child.

I plan to give birth in a hospital. I'm striving for an unmediated birth. I would like the doula to have knowledge in eastern medicine or herbalism. I try to practice tradition Chinese medicine principals where I can. I would love for the prenatal doula to help with herbal, dietary needs, help with guidance on unmedicated births, and help be an advocate at the hospital. Postpartum I would like help with training, cooking for mom, and education on how to best care for our baby when needed.

I plan to give birth either at home or in a birthing center, with a focus on a holistic, low-intervention approach while prioritizing the safety and well-being of both myself and my baby. While I do not have a finalized birth plan at this time, I am seeking a certified midwife with at least five years of experience. I would also like access to comprehensive prenatal education, labor and birth support, postpartum guidance, and lactation assistance.

Need advice on our latch- she dribbles a lot of milk when feeding and has been wanting to feed nonstop. Also still very tender nipples after 6 weeks.

I gave birth to my second 5 days ago. I wasn’t able to breastfeed my first so I wanted to be proactive with breast feeding preparation. I saw an IBCLC for a prenatal appointment and twice after delivery. Now my left nipple is scabbed/bloody and my right breast is incredibly swollen and red ( my husband did some research and maybe that’s my supply coming in but I have some sort of clog happening). I’m applying ice packs now. Baby has been patching but obviously with a bloody nipple, his latch is definitely wrong. Please help!
