Hey there! I’m Kelcey, a born-and-raised Las Vegas native, wife, homeschooling mom, doula, and student midwife. My journey into birth work hasn’t looked quite like I originally imagined, but I can see God’s hand in every step. I once dreamed of becoming a NICU nurse, but He led me down a different path that I’m incredibly grateful for. My own birth experiences have shaped me in ways I could never have anticipated, and my journey through unexplained secondary infertility after my second baby gave me a deeper understanding of just how personal, complex, and emotional the road to growing a family can be. That season sparked a passion for learning more about fertility, conception, and the many challenges families may face along the way. Over the past 10 years as a doula, I’ve grown so much in my knowledge, experience, and understanding of the incredible privilege it is to walk alongside families during some of the most vulnerable and life-changing moments of their lives. My philosophy on birth is rooted in my belief that birth is a powerful, God-designed process that deserves to be treated with respect, patience, and trust. I believe women are capable, their bodies deserve to be trusted, and birth should be approached with confidence rather than fear. I’m passionate about supporting physiological birth and helping women feel informed, empowered, and confident in their choices. To me, supporting a woman doesn’t mean telling her what her birth should look like; it means giving her the information, encouragement, and space she needs to make the decisions that are right for her and her family. Hi! I’m Kayla, a certified doula with a heart for supporting families through one of life’s most transformative journeys. Originally from Alaska, but I’ve called Las Vegas home since 2019. I studied elementary education and spent years working as a private nanny and in preschools, which gave me hands-on experience caring for infants and toddlers. I’ve always loved nurturing little ones and helping families feel confident and supported during these early, tender years. I have over 6 years of experience caring for newborns and in 2025 did my doula training and now have received my Birth Doula certificate. I’m also a parent of three. including two bonus kids and my youngest. Her birth inspired me to become the doula I wish I had. I value a holistic approach to care, emphasizing nutrition, gentle practices, and creative ways to nurture families, like some of my passions, art projects and cooking. My goal is to help parents feel seen, supported, and empowered through these life-changing moments, so they can focus on bonding, healing, and embracing their new chapter with confidence.

I was born and raised in Las Vegas. I am an Air Force veteran, small business owner, and full-spectrum doula. My philosophy is that everyone should create their own birth story. I consistently remind clients that their doctors, midwives, medical staff, doulas, etc., work for them. Through my doula work, I hope to help families understand their rights and find their voice throughout the experience. I believe she was called to birth work (more specifically, to be an advocate for the voiceless). Ultimately, my primary goal is to provide families with a positive, healthy, and happy experience during pregnancy, labor & delivery, and postpartum. With the Phenomenal Mama experience, families will be educated, supported, and have an advocate in their parenting journey. I am also a mother of two with a story that led me into birthwork.

I have been working with postpartum women since 2006. I am the founder of Placenta Benefits, an informational resource and training organization dedicated to natural postpartum recovery. My book on postpartum recovery was published in 2014 - The Postpartum Survival Guide - which is now available on Amazon. I also teach my Postpartum Survival Course based on the book several times a year. I have a passion for helping birthing people settle into their new normal after the birth of their baby.
