About me

Birth is one of the most important and transformative moments in a mom's life. I believe she deserves to be seen, heard, and honored during this time. My goal is to always hold space for her. Barry Steven once said, "Don't push the river, it flows by itself." I think this quote is beautiful and so fitting for birth. It's beneficial to let contractions flow instead of fighting against them, birth can benefit from being given space to move on its own. There are times when she may need help or assistance, and there are also times the mom decides to choose an intervention. Personal autonomy is so important and I believe all moms should be listened to. Their intuition knows best.
