Hello! I'm a passionate biologist and mother of two, certified as a birth and postpartum doula since 2023. This year, I expanded my skills with certifications as a birth coach and maternal-child educator. Currently, I specialize as an Advanced Lactation Specialist and Safe Infant Feeding (CLAAS and IYCFS), committed to providing the best support during pregnancy and childbirth. At Doula at your cervix, I believe in gentle, personalized support for families during the conception and pregnancy process. I consider each pregnancy, labor, and birth to be a unique and miraculous experience where the emerging family is at the center. Preconception consultations last approximately 45 minutes. During these sessions, recommendations are provided to optimize fertility, information about the menstrual cycle is given, and ovulation monitoring techniques are discussed. Physical preparation includes guidance on how to prepare emotionally and physically for pregnancy.

Prenatal Consultations

Prenatal consultations are offered virtually and last approximately 45-60 minutes. I foster a safe space with opportunities to address questions related to pregnancy, childbirth, and newborn care, tailored to each expectant parent's needs. These consultations promote health and well-being through holistic, evidence-based recommendations. Offer: Three prenatal consultations for $120, including a free class on breastfeeding or a specific topic of interest.

Breastfeeding Support

Consultations last 60-90 minutes, focusing on assessing both baby's and mother's health, evaluating initial breastfeeding experiences, and providing guidance on optimal latch techniques and positions for effective and comfortable breastfeeding. I assist with routine establishment and identify and address common issues such as nipple pain, cracks, mastitis, among others. Other topics include tandem breastfeeding, among others.

Leenoshka was absolutely amazing as my doula! She came to my house and help me understand in a detailed manor the steps and the things that go into labor, and breastfeeding. When I went into labor and called her at 4am she answered and kept in touch until it was really go time and she came over. She helped the whole time, being in labor was not easy but all the tools she brought and her knowledge helped out so much. I was able to be in labor for only 40 hours, and I kept progressing and was able to do it naturally. Definitely do not know what I would have done without her. She also helped me with latching baby girl on which I absolutely appreciate!

Do you accept payment plans?

I do accept payment plans up until the 37th week of pregnancy. Payments can be made bi-weekly or monthly. A non-refundable deposit of 30% is required to secure the date.

Do you offer prenatal classes?

What is a Doula?

A doula is a trained professional who provides continuous physical, emotional, and informational support to a mother before, during, and shortly after childbirth to help her achieve the healthiest, most satisfying experience possible.

What services do you provide as a doula?

I offer a range of services, including prenatal visits, labor support, and postpartum visits. I provide comfort measures, help with pain management techniques, offer emotional support, and assist with breastfeeding and newborn care.

How is a doula different from a birth coach?

While both doulas and birth coaches provide support during childbirth, I am specifically trained to offer continuous emotional and physical support during labor and postpartum. As a birth coach, I may focus more on the educational and motivational aspects of childbirth preparation, providing guidance on techniques and strategies to prepare mentally and physically for labor. Additionally, I offer hypothetical scenarios to help you prepare for different birthing situations.

How is a doula different from a midwife?

A midwife is a healthcare professional who provides medical care to women during pregnancy, birth, and postpartum. I do not provide medical care but offer support and guidance to complement the care provided by midwives and doctors.

Can you help with hospital births?

Yes, I can support births in hospitals, birth centers, and at home. I work alongside medical staff to ensure that your wishes are respected and that you have a positive birth experience.

How many prenatal visits are included in your doula services?

The number of prenatal visits varies depending on the package you choose. I offer flexible packages to meet your specific needs and preferences or what your insurance plan may cover.

Will you be present during the entire labor and delivery?

I will be with you from the moment you need me — usually once you’re in a consistent pattern of contractions — and will stay with you through active labor, birth, and shortly after your baby is born, providing continuous support. This timing may vary, especially in the case of inductions, since they can be unpredictable. We’ll stay in close communication throughout the process so I can join you when you feel ready.

What kind of postpartum support do you provide?

I help with newborn care, breastfeeding support, emotional and physical recovery from birth, light household tasks, and helping your family adjust to the new baby. The number of postpartum visits varies according to the package you select or what your insurance plan may cover.

Can I still benefit from a doula if I plan to have an epidural or C-section?

Absolutely. I support all types of birth plans, including those involving epidurals or C-sections. I help you understand your options and provide support to ensure a positive experience.

How do I choose the right doula for me?
