I recently discovered I am pregnant with my second child. I had my last baby in a hospital and I am looking for a more holistic and warm birthing experience. I am looking for a CNM. I am a black woman and would prefer care from a black woman but I am open to other alternatives. I am not sure if I want a home birth, I think I would prefer a birthing center.

I am looking for a midwife who is patient, compassionate, knowledgeable, and hands-on, who will educate me throughout my pregnancy, help me create a birth plan, prepare me for labor, and provide emotional and physical support during delivery. I would also like support with postpartum recovery and establishing a breast milk pumping routine, as I plan to exclusively pump rather than directly breastfeed. As a first-time mom, I want someone who will answer my questions, respect my wishes, involve me in decisions, and prioritize the safety of both me and my baby. My budget for midwifery care is 4000, and I am hoping to find someone who offers a comprehensive home-birth package or flexible payment options within that budget.
