About me
Hi, my name is Leyla. I’m in my mid-30s and have full permission to work in the U.S. I’m originally from Peru, where I earned a degree in elementary education. I’m a passionate advocate for early childhood education and make it a priority to stay informed about the latest in child development—especially through my favorite books and ongoing learning. I’m also a proud mom to a bilingual 5-year-old who is starting kindergarten this year. Watching his growth motivates me even more in this field. I have hands-on experience in childcare and chose this profession because children are never boring—even babies are smarter than we often realize! I believe it’s my responsibility to create a loving, engaging environment where children can thrive and feel safe. I am CPR certified, comfortable with dogs, and ideally looking for a position that’s accessible by public transportation while I work toward getting my driver’s license. I’m open to working anywhere in the Bay Area.
