I truly can’t imagine those first nine weeks without Lisa. She knows exactly what she’s there for and is incredibly attentive, observant, and always one step ahead. As a first-time mom, those first few weeks felt like the most vulnerable and fragile time of my life. You’re suddenly responsible for this tiny human, but you have no idea what you’re doing. It honestly felt like being dropped into the middle of a huge ocean, just trying to figure out which direction to swim. Lisa was the person I truly depended on during that time. She gave me a sense of direction when I felt completely lost and slowly helped me build the confidence to care for my baby on my own. Even now, months later, I still find myself using so much of what she taught me. What I learned from her during those first weeks has stayed with me long after her time with us ended. Beyond taking care of my baby, Lisa made me feel so genuinely cared for and loved. She truly sees you and listens to you. I always felt safe talking to her and simply being around her, and that meant so much to me during such a vulnerable time. And I HAVE to mention her lactation muffins because they are seriously the best!! Her baking completely satisfied my sweet tooth during those early postpartum weeks. As a huge foodie and someone who appreciates food that is both delicious and nourishing, I loved all the little snacks she would make for me. When you’re breastfeeding and constantly hungry, having someone make you something with so much care honestly feels like such a blessing. Every day before Lisa left, we would come up with a little strategy for how I could get through the rest of the day and night without her. I remember sometimes feeling so overwhelmed by the thought of the night ahead, wondering if I was going to get any sleep. Lisa would always reassure me and remind me, “I’ll be back tomorrow morning to take care of you.” Hearing that helped ease so much of my anxiety. Those first weeks with a newborn are filled with so much uncertainty and unpredictability, and simply knowing she would be back the next morning gave me something to hold onto through the harder nights. I feel incredibly lucky and grateful to have had Lisa be such a big part of this chapter of my life. I will never forget how deeply she cared for both me and my boy. We were so, so well taken care of, and she will always hold such a special place in my heart.

Hello and welcome to my profile! My name is Dalia, and I am a postpartum doula based in NYC. My path to this work began with my own postpartum experiences as a mother of two. The immense joy, the exhaustion, and the emotional ups and downs transformed me in ways I could never have anticipated. During that time, I became deeply aware of how often new parents are not supported in meaningful, holistic ways—how easy it is to feel alone in a season that requires so much care and community. That realization is what inspired me to pursue this work. As a postpartum doula, I support new parents as they navigate the complexities of the postpartum period with care and understanding. Alongside emotional support and a steady, nonjudgmental presence, I offer hands-on help with newborn care, feeding support, light household tasks, and creating rhythms that feel sustainable for your family. Whether it’s answering questions after I'm gone, helping you get a bit more rest, or simply holding space for everything you’re feeling, I’m there to meet you where you are. I believe every parent deserves to feel seen, held, and supported during this tender chapter, and I would be truly honored to walk alongside your family as you welcome new life and find your footing in this new season. I look forward to connecting.

Raika was also incredibly dependable and proactive. She would come in, take over the baby’s nighttime routine, keep everything organized, and allow us to actually rest without worrying. We especially appreciated waking up to her detailed updates about feedings, sleep, and diaper changes. Beyond her experience with newborns, Raika has a very caring personality. She listened to our preferences, respected the way we wanted to care for our baby, and never made us feel judged or overwhelmed. She gave us reassurance when we needed it most. If you are looking for someone who will care for your newborn with patience, kindness, and genuine attention, we highly recommend Raika. We are so thankful she was part of our postpartum experience and would hire her again without hesitation.

Hi y'all! My name is Kaolin (Mi Cha) Cummins, and I am a multi-doula (certified birth doula, postpartum doula, multiracial, multilingual, 2-spirit, multi-momma, etc.) who primarily serves the Kitsap area, traveling up to 40mi. to the surrounding areas to provide care for QTBIPOC families. I am originally from South Carolina, and grew up all around the south, eventually moving to Kitsap due to the military. I've been here a while, but I'll always call the Carolinas my home. I am passionate about all things related to the cycle of life, from women's health to preconception, conception, pregnancy, birth, postpartum, life changes, and beyond. I've always had the calling to help others, and have been in caregiving(focused work with children with special needs and the elderly/disabled)/medical-related fields prior to becoming a doula. I realized after my second baby that my calling in life is to be a source of education, positivity, and support for new (and pro) parents through these changes, as one can never have or give too much support. I noticed the lack of QTBIPOC doulas in my area and realized that the lack of representation and access to providers that looked and lived like me was common everywhere, and that just won't do! Outside of being a doula, I am focused on pursuing a career as a CNM (Nurse Midwife) and am determined to mesh the Indigenous & Asian cultural practices I grew up with and the scientific and medicinal knowledge I am currently learning. I hope that in bridging both "worlds", we can foster person-focused care that will assist in creating fewer medical interventions in birth, and also provide exceptional care to parents who need medically necessary care but otherwise would not be able to attain it in other circumstances(i.e., low-income/wage disparity, inaccessibility to a provider of color, and LGBTQ+ conscious medical professionals, etc.). I believe access to information is one of the key players in having a successful birth/parental journey. I strive to create a judgment-free practice, to serve as a provider who assists in these beautiful changes in life. My goal is to leave the world better than I found it and to provide parents/caregivers with the informational and emotional support they need to get through life's events. You don't have to do it alone! Outside of doula work/becoming a midwife, I love spending time with my own little family, and doing anything creative/expressionist! I am a bit of an introvert, but you might catch me on the dance floor if the music's good!

As a Professional Nanny/Infant Care Specialist ICS for over 15 years to many children and households the experience I’ve obtained has helped mold me into a flexible and quick thinking professional. I am confident that you’ll agree that my skill set and experience will impact families in a positive manner. I look forward to the opportunity to continue to discuss a future partnership with you. I love working with children ages newborn to 13 years old. In the last 10 years I’ve worked for HNW clients and have cultivated the professional aspect of being a childcare provider. Being a Nanny isn’t just a job for me, it’s a passion of mine which is why I’ve done it for so many years and I’ve gone back to school to keep my skills and knowledge current as any new courses or certifications become available. I’ve experienced some of the most exciting times while traveling with clients for work or leisure while caring for their children. Providing peace of mind and support for families during travel is something I’m comfortable doing and can confidently say I feel I’m capable of. Although not always a piece of cake it can always be turned into a great experience. Being a Nanny has so many aspects to it and can be rewarding in many different ways. I would have to say I have a true passion for Infant care, which is why I’ve specialized specifically in this age group as an overnight infant care specialist the last few years. I have a love for the tender nature of this type of care that I’m able to give in such a stoic time as the newborn stage offers. As we know, that time is short lived. As one of my favorite quotes by Gretchen Rubin says, ‘the days are long but the years are short’ and I’ve come to know the true honor and pleasure of being given the opportunity to partake in the life of a little human being. Helping to guide, mold, and nurture the development of a child is not just a job for me. I don’t take that privilege of being welcomed into a family’s private home, trusted with the most important person in their life lightly. Being part of those precious early days is a gift. As developmental milestones are met the type of care does too change. From caring for a newborn I’ll quickly then find myself introducing babies to first foods, and it is something that I pride myself in assisting with, from grocery list to full meal prep. My experience as a preschool/kindergarten teacher has helped me understand and grow my knowledge of how to provide toddlers to school age children the accessibility to expand their interests and perspectives while enriching their ideas while doing life. I’m confident that you’ll agree that my experience and knowledge makes me a good candidate for the position available.

Yasmin Balmaceda

¡Hola! Hello everyone, my name is Yasmin and I am a Postpartum Doula. I speak English and Spanish, we can communicate in whichever language you feel most at home with. I am passionate about the postpartum period, specifically the first 40 days, and providing care to nurture the mother back to health after giving birth. My passion is cooking and self-care. We will sit down together to plan menus to aid in replenishing you and promote healing to your body. In addition, I will fill your freezer with ready to eat meals to enjoy when I'm gone, focus on your rest to promote mental ease and relaxation, and provide an environment where you are being tended to and taken care of. My role strongly focuses on the recovery and healing of the mother. My interests in continuing to expand my abilities have directed me to continue my studies and expand into a holistic traditional approach to my postpartum work. I would love to be alongside you as you make your journey through this transformative time in your life.

Recent review

I don’t even know where to begin, hiring Yasmin as my postpartum doula was truly one of the best decisions I made as a first-time mom. I had an unexpected emergency C-section, my family and in-laws live out of state, and I came home feeling vulnerable, sore, and overwhelmed. I had a lot of anxiety during pregnancy and it continued after having my baby. Yasmin stepped in and filled my home with warmth, comfort, and the kind of support I didn’t even realize I needed. Before I even arrived home with my baby, she prepared my space so it felt peaceful and welcoming. Walking into that environment after surgery made an immediate difference in my recovery. She even recommended supplements to help my c-section heal. In those early days, Yasmin made it possible for me and my husband to actually rest. Even thought my husband was working from home, I needed someone who could focus on caring for me and our baby. Yasmin was that person. When I was in too much pain to sit up, she gently brought the baby to my bedside so I could breastfeed or bond without straining myself. Those small acts of care meant everything during such a vulnerable time. I also struggled with low breast milk production at first, and Yasmin supported me with so much patience and knowledge. She made me special teas and the most delicious, plant-forward meals. I didn’t realize how much fiber and nourishment my body needed after birth, but she did. Her meals were genuinely healing — comforting, flavorful, and exactly what my recovering body needed. She was also kind enough to make several freezer meals for me and my family to have once she left. She listened, encouraged me, and created a calm environment where I felt supported, seen, and truly cared for. I can honestly say my postpartum experience, especially recovering from a C-section would have been incredibly difficult without her. Yasmin helped me heal, nourished my body, and cared for me and my baby with care. I am grateful for her and wholeheartedly recommend her to any new parent. Every new mom deserves help and support postpartum.

I’m a Certified Newborn Care Specialist with nearly 7 years of childcare experience and a special passion for caring for newborns and infants. Throughout my career, I’ve supported families through both daytime and overnight care, and the newborn stage has always been one of my favorites. I find it amazing to watch babies grow and develop so quickly, from learning their individual cues and personalities to seeing the little milestones they reach along the way. I understand that welcoming a new baby can be both exciting and overwhelming, and I love being able to support parents during this transition. My goal is to provide a calm, loving, and safe environment for their baby while also helping parents feel confident and supported in their new role. I enjoy sharing the knowledge and experience I’ve gained over the years, while always respecting each family’s preferences and parenting style. Most importantly, I want parents to feel safe, comfortable, and reassured knowing their little one is in caring and experienced hands.

Caroline provided night nanny care for our 2 month old over the course of 3 months. Caroline is an incredibly warm and thoughtful nanny and receptive to feedback. We fully trusted Caroline with the overnight care of our newborn. The only reason we parted ways was because our son began to sleep through an entire night and we felt it unnecessary to have overnight support.
