I’m Paty, a certified Birth and Postpartum Doula, proudly serving families across the Phoenix area and West Valley — including Goodyear, Buckeye, Litchfield Park, Avondale, Glendale, Surprise, Peoria, and Tolleson. As a bilingual (English–Spanish) doula with a degree in Psychology and a Master’s in Curriculum and Instruction, I bring both heart and knowledge into my care. My background allows me to support families not just physically, but emotionally and educationally — helping them feel calm, confident, empowered and deeply connected throughout their journey. Since I was a little girl, I’ve dreamed of working in maternal health care. Becoming a doula is truly the fulfillment of that dream — a calling that lets me serve families during one of life’s most transformative seasons. As a mother of four, including two children I birthed myself, I understand the beauty, vulnerability, and sacredness of giving birth. My mission is to walk beside you — to remind you that you are capable, strong, and deserving of care, respect, and love. At Madre Moon Doula, I honor the mind, body, and spirit of every birthing person. Together, we’ll embrace the sacredness of bringing new life into the world — one birth, one heartbeat, and one moon phase at a time. 🌕

Paty offered wonderful support to me and my husband with the birth of my first child. She is very kind and thoughtful in everything she does! She makes herself available for help, questions, and concerns and fosters a positive outlook on the whole process.

Kamilla Matos

6 years of experience

Hi, I’m Kamilla! I was born and raised in Brazil in a large, loving family where caring for others was part of everyday life. Inspired by my grandmother, a traditional midwife, I grew up learning newborn care and nurturing practices that shaped my passion for postpartum support. My journey became even more personal when I supported my own mother through postpartum depression, which opened my eyes to how deeply families need care during this vulnerable transition. That experience led me to dedicate my career to postpartum and newborn care, with the belief that when we care for the mother, we care for the entire family. With over 6 years of international experience, I support families from diverse backgrounds with compassionate, practical, and evidence-based care. I am a Certified Postpartum Birthworker through Cornerstone Birthwork Training, and I also hold certifications in Montessori education, Sleep Training, and Early Childhood Development. In addition, I have a degree in Law and am currently pursuing my nursing education to continue expanding my knowledge in maternal and newborn care. I do not romanticize postpartum recovery — I understand it can be overwhelming, exhausting, and emotional. My goal is to provide steady, individualized support so parents can rest, recover, and feel confident in their journey.

Kamilla was an incredible postpartum doula for our family. Her calm, compassionate support gave us the confidence to navigate those first few weeks with our newborn while also allowing us to get much-needed rest. She cared for our son Dylan with so much love and attention. We are so grateful for everything she did, and we can't recommend her highly enough.

Our Journey with Olivia started when I discovered that I was already almost 3 months pregnant. In fact before I was present at my niece’s birth when my sister also gave birth at home and Olivia was her midwife. Since then, I knew that when I got pregnant I would want her as my midwife. Of course this is a decision to be made as a couple so when I spoke with my husband he was quite apprehensive as we were in the most difficult financial phase of our lives and we could do it for free through the national health system. He told me “ My love, with that money we can feed many poor people and God will be more pleased with us, but you decide” to which I replied “But the pregnancy and birth are very important for the future of our baby and can affect him so much” so we decided to choose Olivia and giving birth at home. It was definitely the best decision. The only decision. Olivia took care of us from every corner that we didn’t even know existed. She gave us so much information and all through natural means. She is very down to earth at the same time. We followed all her advice and we understood all the science involved and I can tell you that the results where amazing. I was hearing and seeing my pregnant friends suffering and with bloated feet etc. I had the best pregnancy ever, no bloated feet, not exhausted, full of energy eating very well and the results were a very healthy son. My birth was not easy at all because of my body structure and my son had his head in the wrong position. It took 14 hours and most of it was in the expulsion part. I can tell you if I was in a Hospital I am sure they would have done a C-section. She advised us at every step in a very smooth and organic way with all the science involved explained and with simple daily steps. And she gave us all her love. On the birth day she involved the family and created the best environment for this very special day. The most difficult and the best day of our lives. I had my husband and my mother always around, and she explained them how to do this special massage to relieve the pain and special smoothies etc. I can’t explain all the magic but in such a difficult moment she makes the best environment happen. After the baby borns she is there for you to assist you in every detail, teach you and make you feel confident and happy without fears (there are so many new parents full of fears and even many arrive to not be able to breastfeed, and simply because they didn’t have this assistance). My husband, one week after the birth, said to me “you know, if we had more money I would pay Olivia much more because really, she is more than great, you were right!” I had amazing recovery after the birth because I followed all her advice and of course my family support. But truly her knowledge is amazing. She has more than 3000 births experience in very different conditions even in African countries with very poor conditions. And I think that that experience and her BIG heart made her a really amazing midwife and friend. I wish I had more words to describe better. Until today years later I ask her questions when my son is sick or I have any doubt, and always I get a complete response of someone who really cares. I hope she trains more people to be like her because this world really needs it. I had a very good friend giving birth some days before me in the hospital. She got no explanations what so ever and when she went home she and her baby were sick. So I advise her to consult Olivia which she did and then she called me and said “sister thank you so much really, Olivia saved us, she is amazing”. We are not aware but there are many diseases and conditions that a baby can get just because of the birth or the pregnancy, especially breathing problems ( like I have) and we can avoid it just having the right knowledge and help on our side. And Olivia, apart from being a good friend, she has that knowledge and gives that help. I know she is not in my country at the moment but I told her when I get pregnant again (soon inshallah) she must come or I will go to her because I don’t want anyone else but her as our midwife. I am sure God will reward her for her great heart and amazing “work”. Thank you Olivia. We love you.

I am based in Kirkland, Washington, and provide compassionate, respectful, and hands-on support to families throughout pregnancy, birth, and the postpartum period, helping parents feel confident and supported during one of the most meaningful transitions in their lives. I hold a Technical Degree in Nursing from Brazil, earned in 2010, with more than 2,090 hours of combined theoretical and clinical training. While this is not a U.S. nursing license, it provides a strong clinical foundation for the care and support I offer families. Throughout my professional career, I have gained extensive experience in maternal and newborn care, including supporting pregnant women, newborns, premature infants, and babies requiring specialized care. I bring seven years of hands-on experience working in a maternity hospital in Brazil, where I supported mothers during labor and provided direct care for newborns, including premature infants and babies in the NICU. This experience has given me extensive knowledge in supporting families with newborns who require specialized care. I offer both daytime and overnight support for newborns, premature infants, and their families during the postpartum period. My services include evidence-based newborn care, emotional support for parents, infant feeding guidance, healthy sleep foundations, and practical assistance to help families feel confident and well supported as they adjust to life with a new baby. Families often describe me as reliable, calm, and attentive. I strive to create a warm, organized, and judgment-free environment where families feel supported and confident in their routines while following current American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) recommendations for safe sleep and newborn care. Hi, I'm Lela Mirtl, founder and owner of Birth & Bloom. Postpartum Doula | Newborn Care Specialist | Pediatric Sleep Trainer Through Birth & Bloom, I provide compassionate, evidence-based care for growing families during the postpartum period. My work centers on nurturing both parents and newborns while creating a calm, supportive environment that allows families to rest, recover, and build confidence in their new roles. Whether I am providing overnight newborn care, emotional support, education, feeding guidance, or practical household assistance, my goal is always the same: to ensure families feel seen, supported, and never alone. My philosophy is rooted in the belief that every family deserves a village. Modern parenting often comes with unrealistic expectations and limited support systems. New parents are frequently expected to navigate sleep deprivation, physical recovery, feeding challenges, and major life adjustments with little guidance. I believe postpartum care should not be viewed as a luxury, but as an essential part of family wellness. When parents are cared for, they are better equipped to care for their children. I approach each family without judgment and with deep respect for their unique values, goals, and parenting choices. There is no one-size-fits-all approach to newborn care. Every baby is different, every parent is different, and every family's journey is unique. My role is not to replace a parent's instincts, but to strengthen their confidence and provide the knowledge, reassurance, and support they need to trust themselves. One of the most rewarding aspects of my work is helping families find balance during a time that can feel overwhelming. I strive to create an atmosphere of calm amid the uncertainty that often accompanies the newborn stage. Through education, encouragement, and hands-on support, I help parents develop sustainable routines, understand their baby's needs, and gain confidence in their abilities. I am passionate about continuous learning and staying informed about current best practices in newborn care, safe sleep, postpartum recovery, infant development, and family wellness. I believe families deserve care that is both compassionate and informed by the latest evidence-based research. At the heart of everything I do is the understanding that postpartum support extends beyond caring for a newborn. It involves caring for the entire family unit. My goal is to help parents feel rested, capable, and supported while fostering a healthy foundation for their growing family. I consider it a privilege to walk alongside families during this special chapter and to provide the guidance, reassurance, and care they need to thrive. Birth & Bloom was founded on the belief that every family deserves compassionate support, trusted guidance, and a gentle beginning. Through personalized care, meaningful connections, and a commitment to excellence, I strive to help families bloom with confidence as they navigate the journey into parenthood.

Working with my Andrea was one of the best decisions I made during my pregnancy. From our prenatal visits, she brought a sense of calm and reassurance that helped put both my husband and I at ease. During labor, her guidance of comfort measures and steady presence helped me stay focused and confident throughout. She anticipated needs before we had to ask and created a supportive environment for everyone. Even after delivery she stayed with us to make sure I felt comfortable, and cared for in those first moments postpartum.
