I am interested in a midwife/dual with a holistic approach. That will help me to achieve a safe and unmediated birth. I have had o e prior child as a vaginal birth, I labored for over 24hrs, did end up with an epidural at 9.5cm (I did not want one), had a 2nd sac of water, and did have a tear. I did not want to push on my back and made that clear, it didn’t change anything, I asked for delayed cord clamping, it did not change anything. I did not have a lot of the things I wanted met.

12!days postpartum seeking lactation support for low milk supply and difficulty exclusively breastfeeding. My baby was jaundiced initially, which caused me to have to wake her up for feeds and by day 5 she had stopped having dirty diapers, was screaming at the breast constantly, and seemed inconsolable after feeds. I became very concerned she was not getting enough from me, and when I supplemented with formula she immediately chugged it, which made me feel like I had been unintentionally starving her. The next day our pediatrician recommended a strict 24-hour feeding plan where we breastfed every 2 hours, pumped after feeds, and supplemented with formula. We did that and she was doing better but I still am struggling with my supply. After a few days I transitioned from formula to donor milk because I didn’t feel too good about the formula. She has a strong latch and still loves to nurse, but she continues rooting, crying, and acting hungry after breastfeeding sessions. I typically pump less than 1 oz at a time. I’m looking for help increasing my milk supply, making sure she is transferring milk effectively, and hopefully being able to exclusively breastfeed and eventually produce enough extra milk for bottles when I’m away from her. would love if it was covered by my insurance, anthem medicaid
